Hi,

A normal start to the week; black hole and Blackie with his sister Gale.

There is a positive side to this; when the ten assorted Hostas arrive I won't need to water them in but in a week or so I might have to give them the kiss of life; A few months ago I planted a number of Ajuga ground cover plants and they have drowned.

I'd still water them in so the soil can get around the roots. They should be alright, they're marginal plants,they don't mind it.

I need to google Ohio! I know it's in the south, probably near New Orleans! (Ooops, please don't laugh! I'm hot from the bonfire!). Only yesterday I learnt that Yukon is in the NW of Canada ...

Highland County is where I live, @alp!! See Canada at the top-middle of the map? I can be there in about 4 and a half hours. It's about 270 miles from me.

New Orleans, Louisiana is a 14 hour drive - about 890 miles away.

Nice to live in such a BIG country. UK is very small but certainly parts are densely populated. I wouldn't complain as it's not half as bad as some other cities in the world.

But just to let everyone know that i live in Redditch, close to Birmingham. Redditch took in a lot of people from Birmingham.

No we don't have a canal in Redditch, Worcester does.But we have a river called River Arrow and a man made lake called Arrow Valley Lake. The stream that runs into the river is where i walk Barley round the woods.
