I am interested in the rhubarb. It is a plant or vegetable that is alien to us Filipinos and the only time I encountered rhubarb is when my father-in-law had planted one in the garden and had harvested a few stems for cooking. I don't quite remember the taste but I guess it was a jam that he made the rhubarb into.

Is there anyone here who can post some more details about the rhubarb? Thanks to those who would react.

We've just found out that Ian is allergic to carrots and tomatoes! Looks like I'll have to gorge on them when I'm out the house! ;)

I sowed some Alderman climbing peas and some Delikett sugar snap peas before I came away on holiday.
Hopefully they'll be through when I get home a week on Wednesday.

I've never harvested my carrots before, mainly because I don't grow many, but I think I'll start growing more of them and grow them earlier in the year.

I've always struggled with carrots, couldn't get then to germinate this year. Or maybe I give up to soon

Picked two binbags of spinach, which I grew as a catch crop in my onion beds.
One for us, one between the four neighbours who like spinach, a large shopping bag crammed full each.
Apparently, next door's kids (6 & 2 yo) love spinach, so made sure they got the biggest bag.

Could anything be healthier than naturally grown spinach, with no chemicals?
