The Long Song was OK. I bet Caroline fancied the newcomer too!

What a twist The Long Song has! I didn't really like it when Robert Goodwin used Caroline by marrying her and yet bedding July. How callous was that? The reversal of fortune saw Robert bedding Caroline while July was the person agonising. It's a shame that July didn't talk Robert out of his cruel tactics. Love the last episode!

Hi,

Bron and I started watching "The victorian house of arts and crafts" on IPlayer catch up tonight; (BBC2) all went well until the dead rabbit and birds appeared on the screen so it was immediately switched off; why spoil what might have been a good program like this; it put me right off and upset Bron.

Kind regards, Colin.

So sorry to hear that Colin, we couldn't watch Dynasties the documentary with Atinburough. We know that what happens, but we don't want to see it.

Hi,

Thanks Logan. Bron and I like hands on programs such as painting and crafts etc but for some reason these generally are spoiled; we started to watch a painting challenge series quite a while ago but it wasn't a challenge at all because there were two mentors telling the contestants how to paint. A series we did like was "The great pottery throw down"

Two series were made of this and we enjoyed both; we've visited the pottery factory before the series were filmed there; we also used to visit pottery's in the Stoke area but many are now closed like Spode & Royal Doulton both now abroad.

There used to be a number of DIY programs worth watching but we are now having to watch old programs on YouTube; it's a good job we have YouTube otherwise owning a TV would be a waste of space.

My chum tipped me off about the following videos which I found fascinating and now have on DVD; what a shame the old skills are dying with those who practiced them.

Kind regards, Colin.

I always like to watch the "grand-slams" when available, but the only "live" ones usually on Freview are Wimbledon and Paris.
The BBC will be broadcasting some highlights as from this afternoon.
However, if anyone is interested, the highlights of many games are on YouTube.

Yesterday, I watched this. I've always admired Caroline Wozniaki, as she never gives up and will chase down anything, but here, a revitalised Maria Sharapova "out-chased her." Her screeching can annoy some, but after a while, I don't notice it.

Joanna Konta (who lost) was still playing at 3.00am.

It seems a bit of a shambles.

When I looked at the "order of play" yesterday, half the matches were "unassigned" as they didn't know when or which court they would be playing on.
It's a bit of a shambles, in high temperatures.

Hi,

Due to Bron and I not being able to cope with the exciting and highly interesting programs on TV these days over the last few days we've been watching lots of "Motorway Cops"

An example is shown above. It's incredible the amount of crime there is these days whilst police forces are being cut back; we fully support our police force who are fighting a losing battle.

Why do we still enter the Eurovision Song Contest?

Kind regards, Colin.
