Good morning to all and especially to @MaryMary and possibly @Larisa

@MaryMary The blue little flowers are forget me not. They look sublime in photos and here in the UK, the self-seed everywhere. It's borderline between a beautiful ubiquitous frothy plant and a weed. I had to weed them out yesterday as I have been suffering from severe drought.

I am going to take photos of my dark blue iris, please watch this space.

Will go out to do some shopping today. Have a nice Sunday!

Good morning @MaryMary ,@Logan,@alp and all others that might peep in.......we know you're there!!:D.

Forget-me-nots are lovely, but can take over if not kept in check. They certainly live up to their name....once they are in your garden....you won't forget them!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

Is it the grocery shop:( or a nice leisurely wander around @alp :D.

Whatever you all are up too have a sizzling Sunday!:D

@Logan Haha! is that so..

Just posted something on @MaryMary's thread

https://www.gardening-forums.com/threads/fun-fact-of-the-day.11487/

**************

I thought I posted this. Went outside and add the precious drops of water caught in trays to the dying rose - it's so dry and hot.

Then I've found that I have not posted this. I'm so forgetting. No wonder @Tetters inboxed me twice and I thought I replied. Must be the onset of dementia.

GOOD MORNING, @Upsy Daisy Had proper rain for 5 minutes - better than nothing. Going to hang out my clothes to dry, such is my confidence in the weather!

Diy gc definitely if I'm going out.

Want to get a bargain or 2, rather than slaving over the seeds. The dry air doesn't help.

@Verdun must have a heavy boys' night out!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

In the end, I decided not to go out as the heat will have killed all my plants in the lean to. It's soooooo hot! Fancying I was freezing here a few days ago.

Yes! I was surprised to see the nest unattended. This hatcher has worked really hard, always rocking, moving and fidgetting and it seems to be terribly itching as well. Always grooming!

Alp, they all look great. Is the lagurus ovatus a grass? Those rain drops are amazing.
You did post the link.

Yes, largurus ovatus is a grass. And these self seeded themselves. The raised bed where they have been is bone dry. I had to plant out my tomatoes out there. I have Gardeners' delight, Black Krim and Tesco finest! Very happy. I planted them out today as my gardener is always baking hot.

Busy afternoon....gorgeous day; wet days to come so made most of today :)
Several dahlias and cannas now in 10 litre pots......flower buds on one or two! ;) Ismene now shooting so topped up moisture level. Cosmos plants pinched again and now in 1 to 3 litre pots. Potted on begonia crackling fire into their final containers. Planted out stipa gigantea that I divided last summer. Tied in tomato plants. Cut grass again. The last of the wallflowers yanked out and replaced with salvias, cannas and agastaches. Carex Comans Bronze planted out between helictotrichon and helichrysum/ curry plant.
Satisfying day:geek:

You guys must have some different kind of forget me nots over there! :cautious: o_O

The first year I lived here I planted them, and they were a much darker blue. Not only were they not perennial as the seed packet said, but they did not self-seed, either! (Granted, I had done nothing to amend my soil - we moved in in June, and I was in a hurry  )

I gave up on them. :(

Maybe I will try again. :)
