More planting today....salvia uliginosas, delphiniums from 5 litre pots, osteospermum voltage yellow, and sunpatiens magenta (from cuttings last autumn). More verbena bonariensis too plus divisions of geranium Orion. Also largish pots of aeonium Swarzkopf planted out.
A lot more planting to do but getting there :)

5L pots!:eek: I realise what a meanie I am. I took some delphinium cuttings the other day. One is growing whilst the other one is coverd with white dust .. I think that one must be dying. Verdun, you must have a very big garden. Look forward to seeing your beautiful flowers.

Sounds like mildew alp. You need to not overwater but your plants seem to be too dry. You can spray with a fungicide.
I grow some plants on in 5 litre pots simply to grow them on if a spot in the garden is not ready yet :)

I did have a lot of water there, Verdun. I will see to it tomorrow. I'm off to bed. I couldn't open my eyes. Or watch TV so that I don't fall asleep until 10pm. I am now a zombie!

@alp Well, both videos have the seed already out of its shell. There are many video tutorials on how to break the seed out of its shell, but I just can't seem to do it! I've tried on two seed shells now. The shell itself is so hard I almost cut myself trying to pry it open.

I'm no expert....but how do they grow in the wild then......how does the shell get broken ?(n)
I'm just not sure how long it'll take if I keep the shell inside the shell. Removing the lemon's seed cover is like a walk in the park compared to this. :(

Good morning to all. I think I might go back to bed after 8.30am.

@Klona I think you need to identify the weakness link i.e. the line of weakness along the shell. Have you done it, Klona? Please upload the process you're in! Quite interesting. Another woman just opened it so easily. I wish I had a mango here to experiment with! Haha!:D I used to eat one a day when they were reduced to 17p each.:D:p;) Yummy!

Hope your knee gets better. Me, I'm definitely hitting the bed again. I was freezing cold first thing in bed last night. Something seemed to have hit me, a bug or something!

Good morning also to Vishu who is busy preparing his exams and surviving in the heat .. Good morning to Verdun and hope to hear more names today. I'm so envious of his collections .. It's so chilly here in Essex that it's unreal!

Glorious morning here
More names? Ok, got Taraxacum Officionale in the garden now; looking superb. Brilliant yellow flowers and minimum attention required ;)

You'd better get your act together as with the sunshine, it will come my way! And I have already had enough of them. I use my shoes close together to lift up the flowers. I was woken up by neighbour's greenbin noise, and I suddenly realised that today was bin day! I think I might not go to bed yet. Glorious sunshine here as well, but very cold. I have a yellow geum in flower as well. The Gaura from last year is still alive. so pleased.
