Good morning, Upsy Daisy. Did a bit of vacuuming, cleaned the 2 toilets. Just pricked out some more snaps. Going to walk the boys. Do some more potting on, tomatoes and cucumbers. Have a good day all.

Yes it's very dry for this time of year. OH been watering the polyanthus, we usually don't. Have to keep watering the blueberries, they have the rain water. Everything else is from the tap.on a meter.

You're telling me.. I have had no rain for a month whilst you had rain.. Rain is such a precious commodity here in Essex. .. Fact that I have such a lot of pots does not help.. RHS Hyde Hall has a lot of drought-resistant plants, but the only one that I like is the echium which will take 3 years to flower...:eek::cry::cry:

LOL! Blueberries definitely need rain water.. I will RESIST from using tap water. Was thinking of buying mulch yesterday... Then, I might have to worry about slugs.. Do you know Nuneaton? Is it a terrible place?

Been watering again.. Using the new camera, I am happy with the change.

Saw this butterfly and can't resist taking a snap

Hope this one finally comes out nicely .. I was very disappointed when I saw all lack of pixels..
SAM_1800.JPG

See how much better this is as there are so many more pixels and much brighter, as Logan's OH said...

There are now so many more pixels in the photos and as @Logan 's OH said, the camera lets in more light..

Hi Alp, that's cool, I had a butterfly in my GH this morning checking out the blooms on my Impatiens but when I tried to get a pic, it flew up to the vent so I freed it instead.

@johnny canoe The same happened to me, but I took some pics and then picked it up and set it free. It's similar to this one, but prettier as it has two spots of vibrant orange in each wing.. I also spotted a Monarch, but I was too lazy to go back into the house to get the camera..

This one, @Upsy Daisy was glued to that bit of dry flower like dead! I'm not joking. We spent 10 minutes on it and it still would not move. I was curious to see if there were orange spots in the wings, so I grabbed it and opened its wings. It told us that it was alive by flying away..

I'm still waiting for a chance to find one with dark greenish spots.. They were a couple entwining each other in their romantic dance and they never once settled on anything.. Very frustrating..

Let me tell you about an unromantic dance.
Mr. and Mrs. Woodpecker were cussing each other out again this morning. They both landed on my arm at the same time and all hell broke loose. Then the Mrs. decided to hop on top of my head and continue the screaming. So I'm shaking my head and she finally let go of my hair and flew off. I jumped on my bike and took off home. I love the birds but I am not riding my bike home with bird poop on my head.

LOL! I think you'd better change the foods so that they don't come attacking or leaving you with calling cards.. LOL!

My experience with woodpeckers is limited, but they do seem to like to squabble and then fly off together.. I wish I had another chance of seeing them. So far in my life, I have seen them twice .. From my video, you do see them communicate in a very harsh way.. as if they were arguing with each other...

A bit of calling cards:eek:.. I wouldn't mind .. LOL! :ROFLMAO:
