They are like Chinese leaves. very delicious, but the slugs had their degustation, not me! Yes, I wish I could leave my irises there. Those I planted near the main road had migrated to the kerb.. Plants do know what they want.. they must be travelling at night .. :p

Thank you. Bit annoyed with son as he would take a road sign 4 times, but only took my flowers once. I ended up with no choice for Dyson's Joy.

Cost me £2 reduced in Homebase. I tell you this joke .. I bought some Wendy Wishes and Love and Wishes and found out that the stems in the centre all got cut off. ummm... 3 strong stems... I am worried that I can't take any more cuttings from Dyson's joy as the stems are very weak and my attempts at Greggii all failed. I will ask my son to drill a trough and start layering them tomorrow. I'm desperate to increase my stock. Winter might leave me bereft ..

Logan is spot on Alp... Iris Do love it hot. If they are flags. Don't cover the Tubers to deep as they like to be just on top above soil level so they can feel the sun. If they get that then they flower better the next year. As for Salvias & the less hardy one's Mulch around them or up turn a pot over them to protect the root & be patient In spring for they can be a little late in Showing signs of life. Good luck with the Cuttings(y) you can never have to much of a good thing... as they say:)

Thanks @alp ....we are hanging on .....well.....just!!:D,.Does get a tad stressful at times as sis is still not doing much apart from watching TV. So most of the time I'm running around like a headless chicken. Sounds awful I know but it's been quite nice having a 'normal' life back, albeit only for a day or two. So all in all, ..in answer to your kind question... I very exhausted but alive and kicking still:D:ROFLMAO::D

Hope all is well with you and your son, are you any nearer to selling up and moving house yet ?

Take care x

@Logan , thanks for that, but sadly not so good close up!!:D

Sadly I have lost nearly all of my wallflowers .......as they didn't get watered whilst I was away....not blaming hubs at all as he had loads to do and they were tucked away:). I will look out for some bare rooted bundles I think later. I do have a few that made it ,so will be planting them out soon. I expect you have done loads...very envious :).

How's your leg doing?

Take care x

Good morning to all. @Logan Your wallflowers looked so good. It's amazing how big they looked. All my seedlings are puny.

It is clearer and brighter now. Need to strip bedroom of wall paper and replanted some other stuff.

Morning everybody :)
Rain has arrived and it is windy. :( Tomorrow will be another sunny warm day so bit of a mixture (y)
Not keen on seeing scores of small wallflowers planted out together in different colours. My own are grown to be large plants planted in 3's or even on their own.

Yes, same colour to add "humf", but I don't have room for wallflowers. The whole garden's been taken up with hellebores, irises and dahlias.. I wonder if the salvias can withstand snow.. just in case it snows.

Just got back from the opticians, i need to have 2 pairs of glasses, one for reading. I could have had bifocals, but think that they would be hard to get used to. The other thing, i've got the first sign of cataracts, especially in the right. Review it again in 2 years time.Asked me if anybody in the family got it. I said no.
