Good to hear that you'll get better.

I have watered all my plants in the lean to as they were bone dry. Yesterday, a friend came and suggested that I put all the wood in the metal framework at the back and then just dig a hole and bury the rubble and then level it with cement. I'm so fed up with it. Then, whilst channel surfing saw George Clarke and his Amazing builds in which a couple managed to build a shed with a beautiful view over the sandbank for £1300.. My jaws dropped. I'm amazed by this woman could do all the building work and they dug so much rubble out of a gradient that it's unbelievable. But they managed it. RESPECT!

I have cleared the lawn of all the pots and compost pots and tomorrow I will go to the back and start clearing the wood and what not..

Good morning to all. Woken up by heat and there has been no rain. Checked the dishwasher and this time the tablet has worked. Twice in as many weeks, the tablets failed to dissolve. Did the laundry again as the washing line broke and the newly washed clothes went to the lawn..

Time to catch up with gardening programme and the film X + Y on iplayer..

Going to do more cuttings and sow more pak choi.

Good morning, again to all. Drizzling now and my clothes are in the washing machine washed. Very mild.
Been raking my brain which bit of the house to do first..

Things to do

1) cuttings from amistad
2) layering for the Greggii the cuttings of which I have all killed. So I have to do down the air-layering route
3) More salad leaves sowing and I will have 2 tray to harvest next week
4) more pak choi sowing

@alp that's a lot you've got to do there. Don't know what to do yet. At some point i've got to wash the living room curtains, should have done them earlier in the summer. Also got to take them up, having a new radiator and it will be a bit higher. We're having 3 done all at once, which will be fun.haha. I might have a spare pair to replace them for a while,if i can find them. Trouble is, i've got to have some new glasses, can't see clearly close up any more. Got a appointment on Wednesday. Hubby went to Peter Bainbridge's, going there.

Yes, I wash all my curtains, lace curtains and bed linen before October and usually when the temperature is about 22c, but this year, no heat to speak of and to top it all, the washing line is broken and son is in Canterbury have some me time. Triple whammy:cry:.

Morning folks :)
Lovely sunny morning and a warm day to come .....yippee! Love the summer at this time of year.
My kitchen view is showing a whole new batch of flowers on helenium Moreheim Beauty.....been flowering non stop since June. Below it is R. Goldsturn equally as floriferous and alongside is Aster F. Monch. Cannas and Salvia Uliginosa soaring above in the distance.
Have to get a fresh supply of child safe soapy liquid for my......er, my great niece's .....bubble machine. (y) Got a video of her, 18 months old, in slow motion chasing the bubbles. Priceless:) ..... moments like this cost nothing but are so wonderful :). Wonder if anyone will video me chasing the bubbles?
Have a great weekend everybody

If you're willing to pose, I will gladly oblige! From now on, I will grow the same plant one meter wide ..I really like helenium, early Sahin is good. It's very miserable here in Essex. No heat, no sun.. Tons of pots .. Need to take some cuttings.

Is it OK for squash leaves to cover the hellebores, @Verdun ? I'm getting quite worried. Like you, I planted some dahlias in amongst the hellebores and they don't cover the hellebores that much, but the courgettes, rhubarbs and white and green speckled squash leaves are enormous .. worrying...

I'm watching the moths! Haha! Nice to have someone to raise our awareness. Nelly is a bit smaller and more compact.

Oh, crumbs! I have removed the seedhead of the sweet rocket. How I wish I knew its significance for wildlife .. I bought some garlic mustard and they never germinate. Fed up!

I bought it to entice

Ah well, better luck next time!
