Not far off the the old wattle and straw idea..it could work..you would usually use glass fibres in the mix now days but be being like @alp wanting to do stuff on the cheap hahahaha....good idea that..I might look into it more

:cry::cry: When I went to get the wormery and saw the porcelain floor, I nearly burst into tears. Wish I had splashed out, even though I am not going to stay here forever. Meanie I am..

Haha I'm about to make a flat Screen TV wall console from wooden flooring boards (the click type as they are already finished in some exciting colours) I actually bought a pack yesterday so we'll see how this goes...Sadly I am much better with wood than with cement.....I have to report that mould one fell apart on me as I was trying to turn it over...a multitude of things why this happened but I'm almost sure it was the wrong mix....First I bought quick drying concrete, that was no good due to it drying too quickly...and then I went to the other extreme and bought redimix mortar, yes it gave me much more time to work the mixture but its too brittle (although I will leave the larger leaf to cure off a little more and re address this matter next weekend)..Sad in a way as I was looking forward to this moment...On the bright side I wont give up on this project no matter how long it takes and also the piece that broke up does have the lovely veining of the leaf embossed on its surface so thats a big plus, just have to attain the right mortar mix ....aw well life's for learning :(

Looks like you need to do a city and guild, hahaha!

Your war department has really trained you well, @BigC !

:D:p:ROFLMAO:
Hahaha most likely
Meanwhile I just found a packet of Mimosa pudica seeds
Might plant them up in containers in the greenhouse...Good to see my Tree of Heaven has come back after being transplanted from a garden in Yorkshire, must like the soil...I want to contain it for now as where it came from it sent out shoots all over the place, very tough root system sending out runners...so it will stay in a pot for now but at least its alive :)

Wrote something and forgot to post. Dementia is setting in!

Had a busy morning. Woke in 6.15 and pita pata - raining.. Thank heavens! Perfect for weeding and I was supposed to run over the little plants with my mower to shred them, but too wet to do so. By the look of it, summer is over. And suddenly, I saw something to be excited about. I love @zenji 's dahlia split-end petals, yesterday, I saw a white one exhibiting this feature - tsuki yori no shisha a white one. Couldn't find the camera  so no pics. Haha! I feel like I'm in the club!

Have to go to the post office - nightmare queuing outside post office in the rain and the beginning of the month and first day of the week... I'm not looking forward to it. Hopefully, it will rain throughout the rain as I haven't got an inch out of all the noise!

I remember driving along Cornwall and had to drive over tiny fords occasionally. Cornwall is really lovely for holiday, but nightmare to drive .. tiny narrow lanes .. I always regret it when we have to come out of Cornwall to get to Exeter... always congestions and long waits.

Talking about birds, @zenji I'm moving all my feeders into the hard ground as I had a hard time weeding yesterday. All sorts are growing directly under the pathways.. It's a nightmare.
