By the way, watching Silk Road.. What a horrible trend and why do people feel the need to put rubbish into their bodies? .. My neighbour might be contributing to Silk Road business. Why is our world full of idiots who want to pour rubbish into their system?

Just finished Silk road.. More dark web drug dealers .. Interesting documentary .. Internet is a funny place. That woman who wanted to have children with DPR didn't really know who he was.

Tomorrow if the two hibiscuses are flowering, I will try cross-pollinate them. I wonder if anything will come out of it.

Not often do I get excited about an up comming project (hahaha now there's a joke) but I have been toying with the idea of a waterfall for the pond for some time now...anything I've seen was too expensive either to buy or to make until now..
I need a large rhubarb leaf well 3 to be exact :)

@BigC that looks great. How did you keep the shape of the leaves? Also how did you join it to the upright thing?

Both very good questions @Logan..
Firstly the shape of the leaf is made when you make a mound of sand and lay the leaf face down over it to begin with, you can make it almost flat or make it like a bowl..the size of the mound and the size of the leaf are relevant on how much curvature you wish to achieve..I want mine to hold a little water so that you can just hear a bubbling splash and not too loud before it overflows to the next and so on until the water reaches the pond...which brings me onto your second question...simply put Breeze or Concrete blocks (cheap as chips) like stepping stones and cement the leaves to these they are roughly 100mm deep (4 inch) and as I dont want too much height between the leaves these will be perfect, you wont see them as I can back fill to cover the blockwork and plant something into this maybe a low growing Juniperus squamata (Blue carpet, I dunno yet, the jury is still out on that one) I would ideally have liked to use a large tree log and secure with flat iron bars...but we'll see what pops into the grey matter at the time..The main thing is to get the leaves made first...wish me luck (y)

@BigC that's a great idea about the sand. Could you do a pic of the breeze blocks or concrete stepping stones? please. All i can think of is the breeze blocks that are used when building a house.:)

@BigC Listen to your big and old sis, alp .. you need to inhale and exhale and SLEEP! Or we need to talk to your war department. I was startled to see 4am in your posting. Perhaps switch off for an afternoon. We want a BigC with enough sleep! Your sleep pattern is very worrying.

insomnia is very bad for you. I hope you can switch off. Use a bit of yoga and tell yourself that you're going to switch off.
