Logan: I was supposed to catch the squirrel who hopped across my tiny lean to and then hopped to the workshop roof.. Quite entertaining. When I came out again with the camcorder, it's nowhere to be seen.. Grrrrrrrrrrr ..

Actually that's just normal for here. Could snow anytime of the year.

Thanks Logan and Alp.

Alp, those white petunias you like are Silver Wave. There were four different Toms in my GH. A potato leaf one that I have no name for. The seeds were given to me about 15yrs ago by my mom's best friend who were sent the seeds by her daughter. Then there was the Purple Cherokee, Stripped German and Black Russian. Very ethnic tomato's ya. lol

It's so nice to have you around, @johnny canoe - so humorous and I think I have some Crimean tomatoes and I am not sure where that tray has gone.. I'm such a disaster... Totally disoriented..

Thank you @johnny canoe! Hope to see what you've got soon. ;)

@johnny canoe You should have seen hippeastrum papilio. Very similar but prettier.. Bought this one as it was the nearest to hippeastrum papilio I could get ..

Yesterday went up to café to get coffee grind and egg shells. I used to grind the egg shells with a spice grinder (from James Martin) and have found out that it was the only thing which can grind the egg shells to powder.. Well, it did a few rounds and these melted the contact and a very dangerous smell frightened the hell out of me, so chucked. Then I used a food processor, but it was no good as the egg shells were not in a powder form.. So today, I'm going to use a mallet .. all these for my worms...

It was very nice that the chef in the café kept the egg shells for me. Saturday he told me that he would keep them for me on Sunday. A waitress told me that he specially kept it for me. I felt so touched.. They are mostly Turks.. Very nice .. I was very happy as I went home with coffee grind which I will use on the newly planted meconopsis and acid loving plants .. and hopefully it rained tonight .. Now it's drizzling, foggy and dampish .. cold and I have all the possible air drawing windows open .. and am freezing in the midst:eek:.. Going for a body warming mechansm - HOT CUPPA!

CHEERS TO ALL AND HAVE A NICE DAY...:p:D:ROFLMAO:;)

I crush my egg shells with the end of the rolling pin, but it's made of wood. It takes a long time. Put some in a container and use the rolling pin.:)

'Ello, 'Ello! Skivin! LOL! @Upsy Daisy - you will be court-martialled .. LOL!

Did you have a nice weekend??

See this here

See this tiny terracotta pot, it has whole day sun -morning and setting sun and it is 4 feet above ground and yet there is a Californian poppy self seeding there. Amazing..

Hope your planter is not a terracotta as it will only exfoliate in the heat and snow.. You could add some water retaining jelly to it as well and some some release goodies.. Give calendula a try as I have never seen them with mildew or anything white in my extremely hot front patch and it is already in flower ..

Have a good day too, Daisy ..
