Very grey. Should have done a boot sale, but the admission is £12 and I have nothing much to sell. Those punters have 10p or 50p for their currencies.. In a way, glad that ex was there to watch Mo and stopped us from loading the car .. Hard to call as I have a lot of stuff to get rid of.. but no computer games or designer clothes...

Yes, @Verdun going to be a fantastic day for us too. Clear and bright and not too hot. I love the tall sanguisorba!

Same here for today! We had no rain here yesterday and the weather was fantastic. Went for a walk in the park and had a lovely meal at Prezzo ..

@alp Yes shame about mo, his last race as well. He shouldn't have got boxed in. The video was too large to just upload as a photo, so hubby had to do a few things to get it on. I haven't got a clue what he did.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:Lovely pics as always.

He shouldn't be boxed in ... Well, better than Usain Bolt anyway!

End of an era ....Usain and Mo were unique but I really thought they needed a lot of luck to win. In losing they both showed great humanity and even greater likeability :)
What a finale yesterday for our men's relay team........could not have been scripted better :)

Exactly my sentiment .. But I wouldn't want to be a spectator going there to witness some "historical moments" and seeing them defeated!

Ex said that a ticket cost £100 for the finale .. and he said he would like to see one. With our boys winning that race, it's magic .. so GREAT consolation for those who paid .. Imagine the BUZZ in the stadium!

Now that's difficult;). Cook the apples first.
Pastry
1 lb self raising flour
6ozs block marg. I get the sainsbury cooking marg.or you could use stork.
4ozs of lard.
Mix it into bread crumbs them bind it altogether with 1 egg.
Let it rest for a while about 20 mins
Put the electric oven on 200c i don't know about gas.
I used a dinner plate, but what ever you got.
It all depends on how much fruit you want to put in it, but that doesn't matter. But it's about a 1 lb upwards.
Half the pastry,roll it out
Brush it with milk and sprinkle caster sugar on top.
Cook for about 20 mins, but i keep a eye on it until it's golden.
I hope that is alright, I do put more fat in,it makes a softer pastry.
But it's nice of your ex to bring you them.
