Some people tried to escape on the river and the monks caught them and skinned them.

Ah??? Bad enough people do it, let alone monks! Nowadays, we hope people of such ilk do not exist! Yes, @Upsy Daisy , the day is trying to brighten up. Even the drizzle has stopped. Erected 3 tomato greenhouses to put some tender plants in as weather report says it would be snowing on Sunday. Newspapers do get very excitable when there is a cold spell.

Don't think blueberries need to go into the plastic tomato greenhouses, do you?

The sun has given up its ghost and not shining any more. Got to clear the lean to before son goes to his dad's! Bliss - have the whole house to myself and I can eat whatever I like. Porridge for 2 meals a day! LOL!

Ooops! What should I put in there please?

Crazy weather! Just an hour and a half ago, the sun came out in full blast and the living was heated to 20c. And now it's gone prematurely, hiding behind storm clouds.

I have done: Cosmos sulphureus (orange), some mauve salvia perhaps, some ordinary cosmos, cherry some scabius, some knautias, some Trollius Chinensis, tomatoes, Gardener's delight. What is the wonderful tomatoes praised by @Perki again? Something golden? Had a peep at my acer palmatum dissectum seeds and no movement at all. Hopefully, mid April I will see something.

Terrible! I don't even know What ATE my meconopsis x 3!
Well I am almost certain it was mice.. but could be wrong! They will find it tough going now as the pots are covered in clear plastic and ( night times only(y)) have a saucer placed on top too.I

I'll outwit the pesky so and so 's......I'm a woman on a mission!!:D:ROFLMAO:, and I won't accept defeat (y)

What are you going to do? I feel so sorry for you. This year, for the first time, I have fungal disease on my hellebores. This year has been crazily wet. I'm dreading the invasion of slugs and snails already. It might be a good idea to put a grill on top of your sweet peas!

They are all covered with clear plastic at the moment until they germinate. That will be a victory in itself as all the seeds up until now have been nabbed....not a single clue left in the pots that they were ever there!!
Once they germinate I will have to think of other ways to protect them, but at that stage I think ' mouse danger ' won't be the worry!

It could be slugs. I had slugs in all the pots. Slugs can clean up dahlia seedlings just one night. Have a look as it could be the horrible slugs. Lift up all the pots to have a look. I found 3 today inside the lean to.
