Compared with you, I spend so much money! Well, some 2 of them will be Christmas presents and the box for my son to mess about with. Glad that you have made the decision. The cheek of them. People just take advantage of old people. My neighbour said one man knocked at this door and told him he could see something wrong with his roof. He paid him to have it fixed at a very good price. After that, he mentioned something else and when he quoted the price after the job, my neighbour knew he had been had!

Well done for starting your Christmas shopping...what is it...11 weeks away?
Yes makes my blood boil when the vulnerable are taken advantage of. Never realised he paid out £183 each time.....especially since seeing one holding a bag for the other to put leaves in!!

My blood is boiling too, for a very different reason! Woken up by heat. 22c in the kitchen and 21 in the living room. Yesterday, the garage was very hot and the factory is open again, after shutting down for a whole week with all windows shut. What bliss! Just cool down a bit. Was perspiring earlier.

£183 for 2 lazybones! You could have bought a lot of plants and compost with that money! Take your time and introduce some low maintenance features. Glad that you will have some income. Make sure your dad pays you though!

Need to store up a lot of water for my hellebores

Yesterday's apple harvest

This is the best apple tree I have ever had - usually unblemished and the apples are sweet. Last year, I had one. This year about 10. The tree is grown in a bit tub. The poor thing!

That's nice for the hedgehogs. Haven't seen mine for a while. Need to put down my name for an allotment just in case I have to move or all my plants will die and I have thousands of them.

We were promised to be under a blanket of deep blue rain, and I let go of 4 butts. But you know what, the blanket is now added holes by the Met Office and we are in an hour's lull!

Morning all , absolutely pouring down here...yippee!!!(n)

We didn't sleep well last night either @alp . It was so warm and muggy, at 2am we got up and opened all the upstairs windows but even that didn't make much of a difference!! Very strange/ weird weather we're having, even now with the rain bucketing down we still have windows and doors open!

@alp ...I won't ask to get paid!!!:eek:

Apples look great, think we've picked all of our now and most of the pears too (y)

How lovely to have hedgehogs @Zenj , we have them but I rarely see them ,although our neighbour does.:)

Looking out at all this lovely rain has suddenly made me a bit concerned about my seedlings out there in trays ..think they might be a bit battered by now:(. Will veny out snd attempt a rescue!! :)(y)

Have a great Sunday :)

So you've pinched my rain. It stopped raining at 10am and didn't start not until 12 and even that was drizzle. I feel so cheated. Went all the way to Lidl to have a look at the peony tuber and of course by the time we arrived (held up in traffic for a long time!) I was desperate for the loo and I am allergic to public loos, especially son said the loo there was smelly. On the way out, I saw some more peonies. I was gutted (well, a bit as the trip was more than made up with the 2 x 6 almond Gellateri). Any way, promised myself not to buy any more. As I paid £5 each for 3 decent 2L long pots of peony trees last year.

I think I have at most 2" of rain! Very annoyed as we were supposed to be drenched in it.

Watch TV the whole night - a bit boring and scanned a few minutes of The Cry! I reckon the ex wife killed the baby! But I could be very wrong. It's getting cold now. Planted out Anemone Whirlwind a white double and I am 100% sure it will take over the front area and also the pungent Agaschtactes in the front. .

I should have replanted the Caribbean Fantasy, but it is tall and full of flowers. I think I will have to wait until the first frost to remove it to the back as it is too tall for other neighbouring plants.

Woken up by the heat before 5am. Next time I will set an alarm so that I won't get up earlier than 6. Not raining at all. Quiet and dark outside. Put down my name for an allotment and hopefully my plants will have a home when I haven't got one.

Crumbs! I have so many cuttings that even I have headache looking at them. A disease which consumes me and overwhelms me ...

Morning @alp and all who drop by:)

I know what you mean, it can become quite addictive taking cuttings!!! I try and limit myself. I'm seemingly addicted to seed collecting ...have pots of them drying out everywhere!!! I can't seemed to bin a seedhead at all without first retrieving all the seeds.....even if I don't want them!!!:ROFLMAO:

Dark here and grey, suppose to have rain for most of the day but that seems to have changed now...no rain at the moment(y)

Off out to meet up with a friend this morning, so have a good day!
