Morning all
Still a bit dark out but we are in for a gorgeously sunny day
Yesterday I finished sorting out another border in readiness for the bulbs to go in. Only have 4 more to do, thankfully it's getting to an easier task to do as the summer bedding is gradually dying back now...so no more hard decisions to make.
Have been digging up the Geraniums as I work my way along the borders, despite some still having a lot of buds. All are repotted and and placed in the coldframe to overwinter.Wallflowers and Winter Pansies are put in their vacated space
Have a great day!
There are a lot of plants that will not do well until it drops below 27C. Peas like warm feet to start but can easily handle frost and firm freezes overnight. Spinach does not like that much heat. Our summer actually stops growth in a large way because it gets so hot. Our winters though..I do not believe we even had frost until near Christmas last year and Mid to End of January is our coldest time, about a month past Winter Solstice. So there is roughly 90 days left but the catch is the sun moves very low in the sky and shadows grow larger for a very significant loss of light which is actually the major effect.View attachment 46090

@DM if you are having 26c, can you still grow anything now?
