Good morning, upsy. Went to bed again and this time, the fire smoke alarm was low in battery and kept beeping once every half hour and on top of that, the iphone notifications chimed in. Worst still, none of them sounded like KER-CHING!:D. Very annoying. :p

I succumbed to the ironing curse. Bought a duvet cover years ago with high thread count Eygptian cotton and it creased like hell. Even after ironing (only the edges where it was worst. I don't subscribe to ironing) the crease lines still show. I don't understand it. I bought some lovely duvet cover and sheets from a charity shop and they were from America. It was good quality and I never have to iron it. A lovely set and even my sister asked me where she could buy them.

Sometimes the notifications came a day late. I just use my own bookmarks. It's so cold, but probably for one day only, so I won't turn on the radiators. The grass looks very happy. Of course, the water from the blocked sinks helps. Nice to see the sun again. Not so bleak or depressing!

I admire you for your good humour for ironing. I want to save the planet :Dand after a fashion, emulate @Perki , save lekki as well. I went out to collect some Asclepias tuberosa seeds (please note, not a disease, but a beautiful tiny flower cluster), and it was soooooo nippy! A cuppa will warm me up and a journey inside the car will more than make up the difference; hopefully, there will be bargains to excite me as well. My white aster has come up beautifully - all packed with flowers, not so loose as the Pink Bahamas! Really cheers me up. The Blue Bayou is blooming again! Have the say, the dahlias such as cacti antler dahlias, Polka, Crazy love have been putting on a continuous good show for me though they have buried my hellebores..

Happy bargain hunting...looking forward to seeing your buys!!:D

Need to buy sink unblocker first!:cry: I don't really mind if the excess water does not overflow as I can use it to water my bald patches in the lawn.

Morning , frost this morning but everything look ok so far . I don't iron hardly anything other when going out on a occasion, my body heat will smooth the creases out ;)

:D

I wish my body heat of which I have plenty would do the same. I used my 4-5 inch thick mattress yesterday to "iron" the creases but this economical means yielded no result.

Been out since 9.45am. No bargains to be had and I cried when I saw Whirlwind in flower. I had several of them. Because of the idea of moving and the idea that it might take over, I split them over several pots. No, none of them survived the heat. Even the posh gcs didn't stock Wild Swan. It has a White Swan. Any way, £12.99 for a Whirlwind which is a double is just too much for me. In the end, got a salvia Sensation Deep Rose and another blue one and a rudbeckia for 50p each. Saw another mystic spires, but £5.99 is just too much. Bet the gallivanting, as Perki puts it, has cost me that much. Saw a very dwarf Ginko for £10.99. Wanted to buy a clematis mac Hope but there are 2 near dead plants each asking for £6.50. (Really like the one posted by @johnny canoe - the pink macropelata!) Quite a lot of sorry looking Raymond Evison going for £9, the usual light blue ones... Not my cup of tea. Saw a Vivien Pennell. Wonder if I have killed all mine. I feel like smacking myself, knowing how many plants I have put to a desert grave!

@Zenj Please let us know what sites have tickled your fancy as the site you sent me was very good. Shame the lady said all sold out and closed until April :banghead::inpain::cry:
