Yes I have a lot of polystyrene pizza trays that I saved from my days at work. The parents always allowed the children a pizza day treat each week....so I nabbed the trays and use them to stand all the plants on in the greenhouse. :)
Height from the eaves :eek: definitely gobbledygook to me!!:ROFLMAO:

Watching the last of the latest GR....don't know what my late night garden fix will be now :(

Funny thing is that when we talked around one of the nursery, we saw hundreds of polystyrene tray living the long table which spanned all the length of the polytunnel. Not a space left between them and not a pot on them You can tell it's some serious preparation for future plants.

I really enjoy GR and think Charlie is very imaginative, but some idea horrible, such as the concrete imbued lace table cloth! Ma ma mia! But as they provide the labour and everything seems to be doable. Very inspiring series. At first, I really didn't like it. I always fast forward first 40% and just watch the real labour after the designers have arrived and had a giggle. Love that house bordering on a river!

Was that the one where the woman loved spooky things and they included figures lurking between the trees? Think the concrete table cloth was suppose to represent a cob web ( if my memory serves me well;) )

Loved the riveside place , but to me the only downside was that it was in the front of their property....would have been stunning if was their back garden!:)(y)

Yes, that's the cobweb table cloth! LOL! I feel like phoning them to give me a hand. I am being overwhelmed by plants. Just acquired a Leylandii for £1. Hope it will grow tall enough to block some wind.

Ah, what a lovely day! I have to say I was, in a sense, disappointed as there were only 3 lemurs which had always been my favorite, 2 meerkats - my pet love again! and 3 otters - my must sees! But somehow it has been a day of triumph as I finally saw the red panda feeding and it was so rare to see them face to face. Only saw a maroon patch on the top of a branch. Won't post too many here, but will post the whole trip on Virtual Tour

After feasting from the bowl, it went and snap 3 leaves out of a bamboo tree and went upstairs. So exciting to see its face.

Then we heard squeaking noise - the otters literally begging for food.

One clapped it fore paws together in the form of a begging gesture! Quite hilarious!

Also, I picked up some exploded seeds from this beauty

Very lucky as most of the other seed pods are still raw!

Very lovely until we were stuck in the road for more than 45 minutes more because of a car accident!

Glad you've had a great day @alp :) Fab pics, whats the flower??Very pretty(y)

Asclepias curassavica - I think Zenji might have sent me some seeds and I haven't done very well with them. I have these Asclepias tuberosa and they have now 5 seed pods.

Have you had a good day or you lost to your weed like Liverpool lost to Chelsea 2:1?

Hope Zenj's car is OK!

JB's monarch butterflies are always on them. You know the caterpillar with striking stripes ..? They love these milkweeds.

Lilac Squirrel looks exciting! What hellebores have you bought your mum, Perki? I'm very nosy. Did you buy that one you talked about needing frost protection! Crumbs! Hellebores needing frost protection?? :(:rolleyes:Whatever next?

Days are getting shorter now, unfortunately and more money goes to electricity and heating. When son was at the uni, I literally didn't turn on the light.

Talking about scabious! I have one Scabious (which looks like a Knautia) which has just thrown up dark purple buds. The biological clocks of the plants are going haywire! Dahlias buds are still buds .. Very sad. Whatever flowering are those which have already flowered.

:ROFLMAO:.....The battle is in full flow @alp(y)
Have hand weeded most of the pathway, fortunately they seem shallow rooted so fairly easy...still have the worse effected bit to tackle though...,..I'm pacing myself :ROFLMAO:
Have two more huge clumps to pull up tomorrow, after that we have the lawn to see to. Will then continue to look out for and pull up seedlings as and when they appear.
Planted out some more Wallflowers and found homes for some self seeded Primroses.....which seem to be springing up everywhere ( almost ,but not quite, as bad as the unmentionable daisies):D

Had another lovely BBQ..kebabs this time:). Then visited my Dad this afternoon, had to go back over to his this evening again as he was having problems with his Amazon Echo....when we got there it had sorted itself out......apparently;);) Only just got back home.

Gorgeous weather though, so mustn't grumble too much:D

Your dad is hard work! If you want them not to come back, plant something else in their place. These critters will land and grow even in the tiniest of space in anywhere which is hot. I still have eryngiums growing on my lawns. Nightmare. It's going to be cold tomorrow. Not funny at all!

My Mum already had the heelebore she bought as a collection from somewhere , planted a double black - yellow red star and pink red star I think.

No haven't heard back from them sent a email no reply, I tried to get some plants off them last year in spring but I phone them that time, they seemed a bit miffed i was bothering them cause they were busy, they might just be rude  I'll not bother in future unless I get a email soon.

I always sit in the dark with the tv on I just prefer it :D
