Wonderful Wisley pictures Alp, it makes me feel as if I was there which is a great form of escapism. Did you buy anything? Finally feel like the migraine is shifting, the doctors want me to have behind my eyes tested, I wonder if Upsy has had similar?

You know why I hated it! I promised my neighbour that I would weed his 5' x 3' for £40 as he moaned that his daughter's friend was too slow. I said he should get some plastic sheet to cover the whole patch after I have finished. By the time I finished, he pointed to the Bergenias and asked me why I didn't get rid of them. I thought he had such a lot of them, they were flowers to him. In the end, I removed all of them. He didn't say a word about getting black bin liners to cover the patch and I wasn't articulate enough and I forked out my own as well!

Having lunch and have found out that Portugal Gala tastes awful - powderful and tasteless! Avoided 79p in Asda! By the look of it, I will need to go back to Tesco to get my apples. Son has found out that beetroot juice literally cleansed his system and warned me of this moral lesson - never have beetroot juice in the morning before you go out or you want to go home straight away! Lol! Poor boy!

Been out collecting more toms, trimming out suckers and weeding a bit. Very nice weather for such exercises. Also watered a lot of stuff!

My favorite patch - been flowering for a long time

And the blooms rise above the foliage - really like these yellow ones

Crazy Love not only looking for love, but sunshine and had to be reined in
And they bury their flowers in amongst the foliage. Some, not all.

Afternoon more rain today :cautious: I am sick to death of it now. Can't finish levelling the lawn with all this rain or do much outside at all.

I have a bergenia which I grow from seed, I quite like the autumn colours and the vibrant magenta flowers, they do spread around to much though.

Need to walk down to Lidl and get some bulbs, alliums / tulips in today, don't fancy going cause its raining :cautious: need to go though someone might buy them all before me

Wind last night knocked my pots over as well (n) one was on a wall surprised it didn't break but lost a dahlia stem

I can understand how bored you're with it. Two days of rain in Cumbria made me realise how horrific it was to live in a rain sodden spot!

Oh, no! @Perki You might have to take more precaution. Don't know if the storm has knocked at your door already or is still on her way! I want to go to the zoo in Dunstable, but the winds there will be redoubled. It is already quite a windy spot. But we are a bit late as the visiting window is getting smaller and smaller!

Bought more Allium bulbs - Globemaster, Gladiator, Giganteum. Thought I had bought them before!:cry::cry::cry:

Left them in pots and some didn't even make it to flower! A couple said he paid £8 for 4 huge bulbs in M&S! Those I bought were split from its twins - if you know what I mean! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I didn't think it forecast winds, supposed to be windy monday night. I am a bit disappointed with Giganteum, I would rather have Gladiator / globemaster over it. I want Purple rain from Lidl, I bought my mum some last year and they were fantastic, they are cross between christophii ( large heads ) and purple sensation ( vibrant purple colour )

Purple rain allium? I must go and have a look. Son's having itchy feet. Now I have just told him that I would go if he heated up the Nan bread for me! I'm good at blackmail, so it seems!

I actually sold some Purple Sensation seeds for £3.31. Not always this lucky! Just taught son how to collect salvia seeds. Love Purple Sensation, Christophii not so keen. If I see them, I chuck them!:LOL:

Walked down to Lidl in the rain and they didn't have the bulbs in they was supposed to have .
They didn't have much on Friday, are these weekend offers then?
Yes they were supposed to get new bulbs in today 16th September, The bulbs they did have was outside in the rain as well which didn't impress me much, it will be guess the bulb variety when all the cardboard labels fall off.

I was cursing @Perki when I put all Allium Gladiator, Giganteum and Globemaster AND ALLIUM Purple Rain in the basket. Thinking that they were so cheap. At the till, the man rattled out £22 and I was shocked. I thought they were £1.69! Turned out to be £3.69 and they all were removed.

In another store, there were any at all, apart from the Allium Purple Rain. Have to admit if the colour is that of purple sensation, they will certainly look nice. Didn't you collect some seeds from your mum's plant. I had 3 or 4 purple sensation standing miserably around. I said to myself, "Who would buy them?" When I sold one, I had to go out and hunt for another head. Sadly, by that time, all the seeds had merged with the soil!:cry::cry:

Bought 3 frozen ducks for £12 - they will be worth it in the name of training my son to be a good husband! Son kept wanting to go to an Aldi with a new car park and I hate that shop very much as it had to go in at 90 degree and came out to a busy junction onto A road. It was so dangerous that I told him off, asking him if he would insist on going to a new place just because someone said there was a new FART! I was so mad. At another place, this person insisted on going to this car parking space right in front of him and he nearly reversed into us. My heart nearly stopped. If we had an accident, the compulsory excess is £400!:cry::cry: ! I dislike going to densely populated areas and there is always so much more aggravation and people would just dart in and out regardless. One healthy man would pull his Lexus into a disabled bay! Same as staying at home ...

GW has become very good! Saw Powys Castle again and it's a shame that the weather wasn't that good when Nick Bailey visited the place. Such a magical place .. And that Indian garden looked absolutely stunning .. Never really like those trees, but the architecture made it up. I so want to buy a solar water feature for my lily tub. Need to google a bit. Can't afford electric one. Just a tiny one will please me no end. The mauve Thalictrum Dalavayi was out of this world. I wish I had bought another big one which came with tons of seeds. Instead, I came home with a small one for £2.75! I also saw 3 Viburnum Kilimanjero for £9.95 each! The Viburnum Plicatum Shasta in my favorite nursery had been sold £2!:cry::cry::cry:

Lidl stung me before with not putting the right prices on bulbs, I just kept my mouth shut can't be doing kick up a fuss. The £1.69 or 2 for £3 have black labels they have two bulbs in each pack gladiator / mount everest are the only alliums with black labels. The other packs of allium work out cheaper, I've not seen anywhere else anywhere near as cheap for Giant alliums Globemaster are usually pending size of bulb - £4-5 each Lidl are £1.85 each bargain, same with purple senation or purple rain cheap for 20 bulbs.

I don't grow bulbs from seed I haven't got the time are patience.

I used to have a duck ( pet ) when I was a young whipper snapper called Quackers. I would never eat duck  .
