@Zenj Coreopsis are beautiful and the cannas too.. Before I had spotted coreopsis from seeds just like that. This year, Shook the bottle and dumped the seeds and then 1 month extreme heat and even the seedlings got toasted.

Is that the Scottish flame thrower climber? I really liked them. Saw them in Biddulph Grange! And they have lovely berries later. Might not be the same one, but the petals or bracts look so similar. Wish we had gone to the zoo. Just the right temperature and weather for it.

Took 2 pots of cuttings from a Box cone. Well, not a cone any more. Also, some cuttings from Sarcococa!

@alp yes it is the Scottish flame flower

It has everything you want - unique distinctive bracts or petals, lovely strong presence with its striking colour and lovely berries after flowering. An asset!

I wanted to buy it and ended up with a Cobea Scanden (from Biddulph Grange) which gripped its tendrils even onto the wall! Quite shocking how tight the grips were. But I didn't move it inside the house and having overwinter once, it kilted over by the following cold winter!:cry::cry:

I ended up paying 50p for another packet of seeds!

More repeats! But they are stunning

ReJmans Firecracker

A big but very light weight Lord Lambourne. Need to take a graft another another tree as the flavour (or rather the lack of it) was rather forgettable. The earth didn't shake nor did my heart move .. only the face grimaced!

Could have left it a big longer but you can see the blemishes ..

Mark really likes Agastache , I quite like my agastache black adder as well, think I'll get some more agastache in the future.

It fine today so far with a bit of a chill in the air, some plants look ready for autumn. It just started to drizzle 5 mins ago and forecast to rain from now until a least dinner time tomorrow (n). Just done the penguin shuffle over the lawn to push out any trapped air, got a leycesteria seedling today potted it up when I got back.

Mamma Mia here I go again.......

Evening all, well thoroughly enjoyed it ...a real happy feel good film:happy:.

Only downside was that I forgot to take my code number so paid £8 something instead of £3:99....but still worth it :)(y)

Saw a really deep red Hollyhock on my way into town, it was absolutely bursting with seeds ;);)

No gardening today except for a bit of deadheading when I got back this afternoon (y)

Very happy for Alistair Cook, always good to quit when you're still on top form(y)

:eek::eek::eek:

Penguin Shuffle? How did you do that? What should I do with the ants' home which has turned my lawn into a bald yellow patch?

Hahaha! How about my nerine! Funny you should say it's late. I saw a whole pot of them in Wisley and they were about 4 or 5 foot all. Looked stunning and people were asking if they could buy them. The man said all sold out, not even in his nursery.

Lovely plant! How about my fuchsias? Couldn't believe my eyes!

Yes really good ,I knew in advance what the story line was about but sis went last week and saw it and found it a bit confusing at first because she didn't. She enjoyed it much more the 2nd time :)(y)
