From Hotukdeals which is now a site much corrupted by ads

Two people can Visit to Kew Gardens and Palace for £22.50 w/code / £11.25pp @ Buy A Gift
£22.50

Then someone pointed out that it was £17 for 2 with GW magazine
This post really has me giggling:eek::LOL:

Free if you slip in through the west gate supplies entrance that is left open all day on weekends and leads straight into the general crowd. Been at least 4 times.
If you dress like a tradesman as well you just go unnoticed.

@Upsy Daisy If you have the magazine, check for days that you can use. Will make a nice day out, though not cheap.

Japan is hit by powerful 6.6 magnitude earthquake just hours after typhoon smashed Pacific nation - as death toll rises to 12 while thousands are stranded
  • Typhoon Jebi hammered the country's west coast as it made landfall on Tuesday with winds of up to 135mph
  • Ten people have been killed and hundreds more injured while homes and infrastructure have been destroyed
  • Kansai International Airport was cut off when a 2,500-ton tanker smashed into the terminal's sole access road
  • Thousands were left stranded overnight and had to make a perilous trip back across damaged carriageway
  • Earthquake triggers landslide leaving one man dead and several houses razed followed by 5.3 aftershock

Morning all hope your good
Autumn is most certainly on its way was chilly last night first night I’ve had to close the window for a long time :-(
I get quite low this time of year knowing that winters on its chilly way and pottering in the garden is slipping through my fingers and the only gardening will be indoors :-(

Yes, certainly! It's darker in the morning and the day is shorter. Fortunately for me, it is always hotter here, not to mention the added heat from the factory next door. My throat is already hurting.

Great for me personally to work in the garden though as I get hot very easily. Once you get into the groove, you won't feel low, @Leeski ! Are you planting any green. I bought some kale and wonder if I should grow them now. I remember they survive the winter.

Yes, I think I can do Pak Choi. What do you do with beets please? I hate the earthiness of it. I must get a seed fridge - so cool!

Morning all, yes very autumnal morning. Still having problems with berry going out mainly in the mornings with hubby, but he does it with me in the afternoon. Try things but they work for a while and then he goes back to what it was.
Never mind, all the joys of having dogs.:)

@alp hope you get on well with the wood chippings.:)

I have never pickled anything in my life. Also I'm running out of room storing the flour. This week I have hardly used any as son is with ex. I'm glad he's out in a calm area and enjoying fresh air and daily walk! And probably drinking ..

He's probably reading this now. Son, it's ok to drink, but don't overdo it.:D

Morning
The news from Japan is absolutely awful, such destruction.:(

Thanks for that @alp ,never been to Kew (y)

@Leeski , I think we all get that feeling at this time of year...for me autumn is the worst season, but I fill it with planning for next year and seed selecting. I also save certain jobs for this time of year too, thoroughly cleaning the greenhouse is one such job...getting rid of any lurking bugs that had hoped they had found a snug home for winter!! Making sure pots and trays are clean ready for seed sowing , mulching all the borders......surprisingly there are loads still to do!

May go to Petworth House today in West Sussex, as the sun is shining once again, or the Vyne , both we haven't visited yet this year, have to make the most of it!:)(y)

Just having a late breakfast and this is my view from my kitchen

Have a great day!

What a lovely day that would be! I think we have been to them, with Vyne twice! Make sure you go well prepared! Ooops! What does that mean?:eek::D

2nd round of laundry - hopefully the weather will dry the curtains. I always clean them before winter. Twice a year. They are so heavy and the window so hot that the curtain rail has gone wavy!:eek::eek:

You really should go to Kew, such a big place and you need a day for it and some £!

£17 for 2 is brilliant though!

I have pmed someone hopefully he would send me a voucher!

Cosmos can grow so tall. I think that is about the same height as mine 4 years ago!

Lovely garden .. Wish it was mine. Mine is now a woodchips jungle!

I have tons of seeds. But I just chucked as I have no room. I hope the grass seeds will take as it's supposed to rain tonight! Loooooooove rain!

All you have to do is boil it for a while, peel them and put it into spiced malt vinegar.

If you want to make pizza bases for pizzas, you use a bread dough and roll it thinly, you could freeze it raw.

You could do both. You're so lucky. We have to do an hour just go to Sissinghurst. It doesn't hold that much attraction to me any more. But will go and have a look.

Take your time. The weather is on your side, @Upsy Daisy ! I'm going to cut off all the diseased hellebore leaves and might do some forcing! I don't even know how. Hehe!

Thank you, @Logan for the useful tips!
