Yes, seen GW and I must say seeing Monty planting his kniphofias in amongst his jungle was quite a let down. I'm not a control freak, but the area he put his plants in was like a jungle already! Not such a good show. For some reason, the programme would be on Thursday next week.

So you're going to gardening school! Yes, it's quite useful to have a little book to record when you sow seeds, when they flower! I might go for a smaller book. I have actually got a smaller book, but my effort to keep up with stuff is a bit lacking. Friend told me to get out here quickly but she suggests finding something in the same area as it would be more convenient for son to find a job! Her son is in the same boat as mine. But I must say my son has done a lot for me even though he's not working.

Your son had been brilliant!!! @alp
So you think you wil! stay in the same area then?

GW visited Stockbridge, that's nearby.
Liked the bit about colour combinations, very interesting.....that something I'm not much good at. I do start off with good intentions, ;) only to find that I have plants left over....so end up squeezing them in wherever there's a gap:LOL::ROFLMAO:
Nigh night:sleep:

Was waiting for your reply. Thank heavens I didn't wait. Did you know the man. I might go around with a paintbrush like him. I have done a bit, but could do more. I must take some penstemon cuttings. It's a shame everything of mine is in a POT and even though I water them, they seem not to want to flower. So my Mother of Pearl is still hiding in the sea and Sour Grapes are sour and sulking:eek::cry:. I love them so much. Asters are supposed to flower in June to July! After one flower, they are sulking! Sulking sisters!:banghead::p

It is like autumn here! Cold and dark. The freaky weather made me want to move all my toms indoors .. last night, but it was jet black.

Yes, I saw the use of colour palettes in Hyde Hall and it was brilliant: black aeonium, with dark red achillea and blood red snapdragon. So beautiful.

Apparently, London Show will be moved to Hyde Hall, HURRAH! I hope we don't have to pay to go in. Doubt it though! We are only 9c!:eek:

Must be freezing @Leeski 's way again. Imagine 9c in Essex near of August!:cry:! The weather is a dream wrecker! :banghead::devil::(

Morning @alp and @Leeski
..sorry for my late reply @alp.

A tad nippy down here, actually slept last night with all our big windows shut!!!!! Normally that doesn't happen until around October! Even now hubs hasn't gone round opening all the downstairs windows and doors like he normally does first thing.

Today is suppose to be OK, but tomorrow isn't too good, I bet all the Cosmos will get battered :(

:hungry::hungry: Mmmm ....is breakfast ready now @Leeski?.....I'll be there in a jiffy, keep mine warm please

I was thinking of that when I went out to check neighbour's windows. But I couldn't even make out if the vital one was shut and I couldn't see a thing, so I gave up. But I must do so as the next 10 years, the temperatures are going to be around 20c!:eek: Too much a shock for the toms as at one point, they were inside toms greenhouse which smelt like they were melting!:banghead::banghead:

Was watching Beechgrove story! A lot of fluffing at the beginning.

Sorrry @alp......where's my reply???:LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL:.....

......no I don't know him personally but have heard of him and his work.....what interesting work it must be.
Do you think that being in pots hinders them from blooming then?

Yes, ite definitely ' cuttings' time. Every time hubs trims something I' m close behind him on the look out for potential cuttings material:LOL::ROFLMAO:. Half the time I don't really need them , but I hate to see things go to waste:D:ROFLMAO:(y)

Very nippy indeed. I wore a knee long coat to go out and inspect my garden. Going to take some cuttings. Penstemon first and foremost.

Yes, it would be stupid not to do so, especially after Mother Nature has given the plants a good send-off. Will hoover the floor and come back in between. Thinking of getting more shingles as my clay soil can do with a lot of those.

Wonder how to do blueberry cuttings. Need to take some for my pink ones. I can't visualise what my lean-to will be like if I take the toms in. Shock horror! I probably will have to fly over them to go into the house. :inpain::facepalm:
