Morning all, it's mild here and overcast.
Think you could set up a stall outside your house to sell the fresh fruit, especially blueberries and jam. Might as well make a habit of it as you will always have excess! You will be the entrepreneur of the close, @Logan !
Thanks but no, I'd rather keep them for us.:)
I think that i could dig up some of the redcurrants and plant more raspberries, could do with more of those. But i know hubby won't agree.

I personally would plant more raspberries too! But don't blame me for the rise of marital discord!

Just come back from shopping. Bought 2 more of those FBB and food shopping mostly. B&M bargains are all gone! Late again, as usual. The whole day is overcast. Thank heavens! I love this kind of overcast weather.

Evening ,had a good day today ,We did the grocery shop nice and early ( ish) 9:30 )and it was surprisingly quite everywhere, Lidl, Aldi and in town..think everyone had gone on their hols:)(y)

Went round to my Dad's for morning coffee ( and some cake:shame:). He had sorted out all his GW magazines for chucking out...so I nabbed them for evening reading material:bookworm:(y)

We persuaded him to come back to ours for lunch and he stayed until 5:30 !! Normally , when he had his old dog ,he rarely went out and if he did then only for an hour or so as he hated leaving her alone...so that was really lovely having him over with us for the whole afternoon, hubs drove him home and settled him in safely:)(y)

So all is good in my world today:):D....have you all had a fab day too? Hope you have(y)

Watched the news and saddened by the fact that Kofi Anan has died, Kerala in India is suffering from landslides, floods and incessant rains and so many people died from Genoa bridge disaster. I seldom watched news as the newcasters read them again and again like robots, but my heart has a special place for Channel 4 news.

Yes sadly the news at the moment is very sad and upsetting. Now I feel awful going on about my perfect day.
We all take our fortunate lifestyles as the norm, but forget just how lucky and privileged we are.(y)

Oh, you SNEAKED in! LOL!:sneaky:

Glad that your dad had a nice change of scenery! He's so lucky to have a daughter like you. And you're lucky to have him - those magazines come in handy! :D So nice that he didn't just sit home and stare at the 4 walls. A change of scenery is important to his mental health. We wanted to buy another bird for my rosemary feast, but realised it was far too small. Went for a bigger one and saw the plastic bag nearly exploded. I so wanted to buy the £6.21 free range reduced corn fed chicken from Asda, but son didn't realise the goodies the bird had been feasted on and the meaning of free range. So we gave it a miss. Just had dinner and had one chunky sweetcorn from Lidl. Very mature and delicious and now need to do a lot of flossing - no laughing matter!

After the shopping, we came home about 3pm and I had been feeling very unwell until I saw MrsClem's butterfly. The feast for your eyes is here!

Watched the news, as I said! We should always count our blessings!

Hope you're feeling if not completely better now then at least a bit better @alp

Been resting for nearly 1 hour and then made dinner. Now, I feel quite OK as usual. Went to Homebase as the newspaper said it was closing down. Seasonal clearance and then we went to another bigger one and found out that this one is closing. Think about the number of people losing their jobs.. We didn't buy anything as all the plants had gone and those left were still pricey. Saw a pricey pair of Fiskar secateur. But even after promotion, it's nearly £12. So we gave it a miss. Do want to own a pair, but not at that price. Had to go to Asda to get some organic flour as we couldn't get prime delivery from Amazon and the nearest Waitrose only did Duchy - an act of sycophancy as the flour tasted weird. So had to buy from Asda to bridge the gap. So difficult to get organic flour.

So pleased to hear you're feeling OK now.(y)

I've been to a few 'end of season sales' and came away with nothing too :(.....must be something wrong with us @alp :ROFLMAO:

Have to say I have never bought organic flour, didn't realise it was hard to buy though.

The same store sent us the wholemeal but £3 more expensive than that from Amazon. The ebay shipment is actually with Amazon tattooed on it. I was a bit confused as I had placed an order with Amazon, but am being punished by not being a Prime member. So have to wait till the end of the month to get the big delivery.

More rain for @Perki and @Leeski

Batten down the hatches! Britain is braced for heavy rain and 60mph winds TONIGHT as tropical Storm Ernesto smashes UK after raging across Atlantic
  • Britain is set for wet and windy weather tonight as remains of sub-tropical Storm Ernesto breezes through
  • Forecasters said rainfall totals in some areas of the UK could get as high as two inches (50mm)
  • It'll be a humid and muggy evening with temperatures of around 63F (17C) making it uncomfortable to sleep

17c is nothing. I hope the person writing this up live a bit more!
