@alp yes it's so humid. Thought that you finished that mountain. But why have it if you're giving it away?:)

@Upsy Daisy hope you feel better soon.:)

Going to make some redcurrant jam.:)

I have not finished it. I am only half way through it and as it is too much, I am giving some away. Very useful for breaking up the texture of clay soil here.

Your house must smell heavenly .. with all the boiled fruits. I prefer eating them au naturel!

Oh i see, that's good. Thanks, I've haven't got enough room in the 3 freezers for all the fruit this year. Got more gooseberries and rhubarb. Been making gooseberry sauce to put on puddings, very nice with ice cream.

Finish hanging out the laundry, taking out the plates from the dish washer and the mulch is now on the paths as well. Feel that chucking them on the so-called lawn which is non-existent. Just had a shower - now all is clean and well. Thank heavens for Lidl easy peelers which is a satisfying source of juice in this heat. Also picked 2 passion fruit and one is in the fridge. They are delicious at dawn with the content chilled by night air. Not a stir of winds. Really awful.

Posted some pics on Tatton Park on here

Some garden pics here now

Very nice @alp you'll be alright when you've had a rest from it, just do a bit at a time. :)Yes it's cloudy but very humid still, feels like a thunderstorm but i know we won't have one. A couple up the road has had their front garden done. They had the drive done and we thought that they would replace the lawn with gravel but no, they had turf put down. Made the jam, it's come out ok. Remembered that i should have done some fried red onions with garlic and chilli for tomorrow's dinner, have to do it later or in the morning.:)

I have the feeling that there will be a thunderstorm all the times. How can it get this hot and no rain or thunder? I just sat there to watch Picnic under a Hanging rock. Nearly to the end of the 4th episode.

Glad that people put turf instead of concrete down. But looking at the state of my lawn, I am very disheartened. The constant burning of bonfires doesn't help. Tomorrow I am going to deliver 8 bags of mulch to a friend. Whenever I looked at his "compost" in his pots, I realised that there were meaner people than me. Or that he's can be very hard up. He repaired our roof in a "peculiar way"! But it's not leaking. It's like Apres moi, c'est le deluge! Would love to see how many jars of jam you've made.

Not too sure they have thatched roofs.

Couldn't believe - forgot the cranes - an important bird for the Japanese. I think this is a most beautiful Japanese garden, with all the bells and whistles. Love it!

Lovely pics @alp To many front gardens being dug up for car parks.

Horrible weather here, you will have to give your lawn a bit of tlc.

Some people don't know how to fill a floerf pot property and at least your roof doesn't leek.

Here is the jam that I've made.
IMG_20180803_205318~01.jpg

4lb of redcurrants
4lb of sugar
Half a pint of water.

Oh, yes! Well done! I am hot and bothered. Apparently, conserve is good for your health!

To eat redcurrants this way is way better than eating them raw. Last time, I ended my tasting with a grimace!

Off now as I am watching Cold Blood!

Watched 3 episodes of Picnic at Hanging Rock.
I'm surprised that she lasted that long at the rock.

Well, it's some sort weird story .. When she was recovered she had or had NO drawers! Only one girl was found. 2 others missing. Versailles is coming to an end as well. Poldark already ended. Don't miss the latter at all. Versailles is a bit sad and ruthless.
