Perki Thank you for the advice. I don't need to worry any more as the reduced stall is no more! So we went to a plant outlet which is in Wickford. Before that we went to Summerhills. I can't believe the amount of pots they have out. Snapped some lovely orchids.

All my reduced stuff has been moved inside. I took a walk around the garden, even the helleborus didn't perk up. I used a fleece to cover them. Sad, fleecing helleborus? Shocking! It's like insulating snowdrops. Just sounds absurd.

If you're bored, use speed x 2

Good morning to all. Nice that he's bringing in money and you can 100% relax at home. Changed the car tyres to Good year and it cost me £130. But for safety, it's worth it. Yesterday, went to gc to look at the Timberland and Balfour stuff. They were so expensive and there were no prices on most of the shoes. Not worth wasting our time. So went to see fish. It's lovely that parents took their kids there and we all had a good time.

Under 0c in the lean-to. Just boiled a kettle of water to warm it up. The soil outside was frozen hard. Such bad news as I need to sort out the back of the garden.

Whatever you do this week, keep warm. I wonder if we are in for an ice age!:cry:

Yes thanks, it's good that he's out of the house for a week.;)
Can't do much because of the weather. Tyres important and necessary. Timberland is expensive, if you can get them in a sale that would be better. I always get my shoes and jackets out the catalogue when they've got a discount on. Then i can pay weekly. Good that you had a good time with the fish. No we're not getting a ice age, it's just one of those things that come around every so often. Sister in law came yesterday, she's been doing pilates, showed me a few exercises for my back. But I'm a bit reluctant to do them, what if i makes it worse. They're the same ones that a chiropractor gave me, but haven't done them for years. Have a good day.:)

They are OK, thank you. I suddenly found out that I needed to go slow not fast with the bike. I also exercise the joints in my hands. I think we should all do these exercises so that calcium does build up around joints. They can be very painful. I remember my later father-in-law moaning about the disfigured joints in his hands. But then he's 90. I also remember how a concert pianist could play her piano well into 80s and no arthritic pain or disfigurement. Reckon it's exercise and healthy food!

It's drifting feather in the sky. And it's 26 February. Glad that I started some seed sowing in the living room.

Glad that you're ok. It's what sort of things we do. Sister in law has it in her hands, she used to play a lot of squash a few years back. Had to give it up her Hercules snapped, had to have a op and couldn't play anymore.

No best not to do much seed sowing for a week or 2. Going to get some more parsnip seeds, i think the ones I've got are no good.

Oh, dear! I am very keen on vegs as I can get them so cheaply up the road. I have a huge beetroot from last year. I still don't know what to do with it. Planted some spring onions from the roots left over from our Aromatic duck dinner. Have sprouting broccoli which gives very tiny florets and yet took up a lot of room.

Morning!, Chilly,chilly out there!

Very good @alp.....I've got hand balls and grip handles,we definitely need to stop calcium build up on our joints.

I find it ironic that in my 20's I had to have surgery on my jaw to remove calcium( had trouble popping even a pea in my mouth!!!) I certainly kept my jaws on the move!!...hairdressers are reknown for their chat:D:ROFLMAO: Now having osteopenia.....I have to take calcium!!

Yes it's so important to keep things on the move.....

If you ease....you cease!
If you don't use it.......you lose it!

Keep warm!

Yes very good @alp you have to have a lot of room for the brassicas. I tried broccoli didn't get much.

Yes, I know, they went all over the ground and the long stems were especially annoying as the yield was minimal. I even took the leaves to cheat! LOL!

Been very busy this morning. Neighbour's wife passed away. Daughter sent a card saying that it was only polite to let me know she had passed away. I don't want to sound bitter. But years ago, I sent son to their to give them a smoked salmon for Christmas present. The old woman said, "What for? We don't like salmon!" Son was very distressed as he didn't know how to respond. Lucky, her husband said thank you. Not to mention her husband offered £200 to paint their house and his telling me off for calling the pigs on the nasties who pinched land 3 times. I won't bother to waste money sending a card. Do I sound like a cantankerous bitter old fool!? Of course! I do! LOL! Just for today or this moment.

Very happy. Get to go out and see what to put back into the lean to. The list is long .. Have a very fresh day!

I really feel sorry for you, @Upsy Daisy ! I have never heard of these surgeries until now. Must exercise - even if it is bending or straightening and then count our blessings. Look at those kids in Syria .. People talk whilst others die .. and there are beasts who disguise as humanoids!

Thanks Mark, Unfortunately I haven't got a homebase near me unless I do 50mile round trip. I've exhausted nearly all the local GC and B&M / supermarkets for plants I be interested in. The borders are more less full, I am on the hunt for more usual plants now or plants I cant find locally. I look mostly online now.

I got three types of raspberries cause I couldn't make my mind up Erika ( new variety ) - Joan J - Polka, I'll probably keep 1 or 2 variety's and the loser goes into the woodchipper . Got 4 different strawberries as well :) early honeyoe - mid season Cambridge Favourite - late fenella and a everbearer buddy should see sort me out for most of the summer.

Ordered some more plants / bulbs last night ( poor bank account  ) got some more dahlia's - ginger lily - Iris supreme sultan - astrantia snow star - hakonechloa
