Now they have a bar, a fire, a pizza oven, the last thing they need is a bed  and a toilet:eek: in the garden! Now, coming to think of it, the latter might not be a bad idea, especially when one is caught short!

Remember Nigel Slater said that a bit of weeing is good for plants. :ROFLMAO: We women folks just can't do it. Life is not a level playing field!:banghead::LOL:

An outside loo would good... the urge always arises when hands are muddy ,and having to try and kick muddy shoes off too in order to traipse through the house to the cloakroom is a tad annoying.

A nice secluded one in a hidden corner would be appreciated ;)

You know I remember a programme in Grand Design in which two men bought a farmstead and turn themselves into farmer. They had a downstair shower and washroom so they can still keep their white furniture upstairs pristine.. See we really need to think things through. Never say never!

Off to the park to have some fresh air and feel the fortune of fountain and fowl .. Hopefully, come back with some happiness in the heart! Upsy, we can start a whole alliteration aria!

Funny you should say that, hub's original plans for our house did include a shower room at the back entrance to wash away the garden grime....plans changed!

Enjoy the park!!

Hubs wants to go into town , something at Aldi's interests him, nothing that interests me....tools and carpentry stuff, but I will go along top......just incase ;);):D:ROFLMAO:

Aldi makes me so cross went last night for some groceries.
They had so many plants, shrubs and fruit trees that were basically half dead due to lack of care I politely mentioned it to a member of staff he basically looked at me as if I was barking mad
Such a shame we have a local metal health garden where people volunteer They are self funded and would love all those neglected plants :-(

I don't think some of the retail supermarkets water their plants under health and safety (n) concerns

Nice Lilys @alp has the Agapanthus opened yet ?

Yes, I can imagine why they say that because of health and safety. When I went to diy store this morning, the whole place was wet and horrible looking. If someone slipped, they would be sued pants down.

Agapanthus, the Alba and Midnight Star are both terrible teasers! (I am very good at alliteration now, nearly a good rival for @Upsy Daisy ).

@Upsy Daisy Did see some pretty ( small) Fuchsias, that just happened to follow us home!

One can never have enough fushsia. if they were not priced £3, they would follow me home too.

@Leeski If I were you, I would write a letter on the charity behalf to Aldi to see what they say. I think the suppliers take them back, so I heard.

Went to my favorite nursery and :cry::cry:, all the reduced Daphnes were gone. Must have gone yesterday. They were ridiculously priced. £4 for a stalk with 4 leaves on top. Of course, I held back. Er, some lucky workers must have bought them up.

In the end, I put my hand underneath a seed pod of a Dalmatian Foxglove and came home with some seeds. Considering they sold me a dead rose for a tenner, I do feel guilty at all.

@johnny canoe Different companies have very different policies. Here in this terrible heat, I anticipate massive reduction as the plants are transported in some kind of thick plastic and they are half toasted and roasted in transit!:cry:. There are certain companies who look after their plants really well. I really love the Homebase in Chelmsford. The varieties and tidiness make it such a pleasant experience. Shame I do live there.

My bargain : 50 for a purple/blue osteospermum. Mine died because of the snow. Now we have heat to contend with. Canada is also very hot, so my son told me. Is that so, @johnny canoe ? He mentioned Montréal!

I truly think I should mark down on the calendar the days of the lilies. See this widely opened window, it's the source of my tears :cry::cry:. Reason why we had and have to flee!

Ooops! Be careful of what you wish for! Rain!

Millions are evacuated and more than 60 people killed after 'unprecedented' rain sparks landslides in Japan - with PM warning that country faces a 'race against time' to save people
Hope the crisis has receded.

Hello alp,
Yes eastern Canada has been going through a heat wave. Here in western Canada, my city got to +34 a couple days ago and lots of heat to come. This is normal for southern Alberta in summer. But we usually get wicked thunderstorms rolling through in the afternoons and tornado season is here.
Here's from last summer.
