Good morning @alp and all who look in :)

The trees are stirring a bit ,so at least a slight breeze to help cool the temperature a bit.......says she hopefully:)(y)

Oh dear @alp your hand sounds really painful, thankfully my blood isn't sweet enough for the mossies so they leave me alone (y) Definitely a repellent sounds like the best remedy.(y)

My garden is proving to be a very stressful and depressing ' hobby' this year.......all the time and effort on raising plants from seed, going out in the winter chill to fleece them all up etc. ....only to see them wilt and fry, despite all watering attempts .Hate to even go out into and to discover more casualties:(

Enjoy the day :)

See how swollen my hand is. Hard to stretch the fingers.

Keep safe and use insect repellent please.

Same here. @Upsy Daisy . I had a Dyson's Joy cutting in flowers. I don't even know what has happened to it. All dry and wilting. Normally, baby hellebores will start underneath the leaves, This year, the older leaves fall sideway and the sun is now scorching the dirt!

Oh, crumbs! My hand is soooo itchy!

I actually took pics of my swollen hands, such is the dire lack of flower pics. These are both my hands and the bite happened yesterday morning before 7am.

The top one is still totally swollen - it's no laughing matter. When you go out gardening, be very careful of mossies. I think the fact that my neighbour has a pond of Koi doesn't help. Mossies like to breed and I, as a heat generator, become a magnet for vampires!

If I had no more pics of flowers, I will post pics of my legs!:LOL::LOL::cry::cry::cry:

Yes, how we moan, @Upsy Daisy ! Imagine how the Indians coping with their sort of heat and the quality of their air.

Today the breeze is a bit cooling, but yesterday, it's like dragon breathing fires!

@Upsy Daisy I have an appointment to see the doctor next Monday to sort out an X-ray for my knee cap which has settled down a bit after some exercises. The hand is not painful, but clumsy as if it didn't belong to me and I have difficulty bending the fingers. But I can still type, as you can see.

It's OK. I feel very guilty watering my plants. Ireland has a hose ban. Fancy that! You'd think it's called Emerald Isle for the rain.

Good morning and good night to @DirtMechanic ! That certainly looks delicious! I'd love to master tempura frying and last time, ex wasn't impressed and I ended up throwing away a saucepan:eek::eek:!

Been watering for an hour! Shock horror! When I came in the mercury in the kitchen actually registered 17c, not the 23 to 25c I had been having in the morning. But the damage is done. The hellebore leaves are drooping and more dirt has been exposed.:cry::cry:

A scarlet day lily has now flowered and the yellow gallardia which I paid 50 for is showing the zesty lemony colour! Joy is to be had if we are willing to look for it. May you have a nice day of COLOURS!

Britain screams for WATER! UK battles double crisis as taps run dry forcing schools to shut while raging fires devastate countryside amid searing heatwave
  • No water for some homes and schools in Guildford due to 'technical issue' on Thames Water network
  • Bottles handed out in Derbyshire where families are facing interrupted supply from Severn Trent
  • Moorland fires around Bolton and Saddleworth continue to burn, with 100 firefighters at each incident
  • Millions of gallons of extra water are being pumped to homes across Britain as heatwave continues

Believe it or not I do have buds.......they are just not blooming!!:(,

Are they dying or late though, Upsy? I have lots of buds, but they are a bit shy or I am too impatient.
