You know what we need to plant, Verbascum!? I saw some lovely blue flowers and I thought it was the campanula again. No, on closer inspection, it was a SELF-SEEDED verbascum again. So they will be in my list of plants. I am googling 3-bedroom house + land + stream and have seen several with stream or a stream nearby or on a Stream Street!:LOL: When there's no rain, the stream might have some, hopefully.

The meteo man said there would be some THREATS OF RAINS. I wanted to shake him and said they were NOT threats. I need them :cry::cry: Waa waa waa!:cry::cry::cry:

Woke up a bit late. I must set the alarm at 5am as the evaporation process must have started. The air is already warm.

Good morning and good night to all ..

Strawberries! Wow! The perfume is now very heady as it is late for my lot. Gutted, bought a few AGM varieties for 50p and now they must have died. My tomatoes are still in flower, so @DirtMechanic, please say Bravo to our beloved and talented B. There is a patch of lawn, which I want to return to grass and guess what has happened. All sorts of tomato seedlings and even altroemerias are spring up. This is so embarrassing. I hope no viewings in the next 2 months as I would hate to kill them.

I heard a worker in a certain diy store told her colleague that she paid £5 for her thousand pounds of worth of plants. I wish I had that job! Then she shouted to a customer that he would need ericaceous compost for hydrangeas! I don't really know. Perhaps, @Perki could tell us a thing or two. I never bother. Just tons of h2o!

By the look of it, we can only grow lilies, verbascum and achilleas

This plant sprang out of nowhere in amongst the concrete. It looked better yesterday morning.

I was trying to capture the water droplets on the top of the cone! Er, a failure!

At night, I could smell the lily/jasmine/strawberry perfume from my back bedroom

Midnight Star keeps teasing me! Will it open today? Every morning, it says NO!:(

Morning, Upsy! Thank you. Hand still puffy but has a bit more feeling and less inflammation today. Apparently, mossie bites make it to the news. Mossies do like my blood!:cry:

Glad that your brother's house move will be over soon. Sad that you have to be stressed over this. Have you hired a van or your hubby is the trusted removal man? Sometimes, I am secretly glad that my son hasn't got a job yet. To have an extra pair of hands is invaluable.

Trying not to involve hubs too much.he has enough on his plate(y)

No hired a removals firm to pack and deliver to new place.
None of us are fit enough to move the furniture and bro has a special bed and having proper removal team means everything is fully insured.....just to be on the safe side;)(y)

So pleased to hear that you're hand seems to be gradually easing up. :)

We are very lucky to live in this country which is still semi-humane. Glad that everything is under control!

Friend is coming on Saturday. So look forward to it. 27c already. Hell has no mercy.

Hello,
Picked some strawberries as well yesterday :) i am surprised you shared that strawberry with your hubby Upsy o_O I would of scoffed it for myself :hungry: . Its dry and hot again with no rain forecast still, most lawns have really slowed down / dying due to the lack of water, which isn't good for work at the moment.

It epidemic in some places with horse flies, I been swatting loads of them but they still get me now and again. Hfly or something else has bite be on my finger yesterday it was alright until this morning, my finger and part of my hand swollen up now like alp

And no you don't need ericaceous soil for hydrangea unless you want it blue but they is other methods like aluminium sulphate which will turn them blue, if the soil pH is neutral they come out a muddy purple colour and alkaline is pink
