Good Morning everyone...
Lots of commotion there @alp..whats the story....dont tell me someone's been growing plants indoors :ROFLMAO:
Well I hope everyones Ok and things have all calmed down a little.
Not much going on in the garden today ...I swept the grass to force the dew to the soil...(a bit OCGrassD) I just stuck the fall-pipe from the greenhouse gutter back on as it had come off...dug up the lettuce from the trays as it was spent....I will plant some more when this hot spell passes as the Kalettes have been completely fried again...I have some Spinach seed here from somewhere so I may sow that outside in a small trough....The strawberry cuttings I took yesterday...would it be wrong to plant them in a border??
I'm still planning around the pond area...just need a small fern to complete @Perki
As a footnote for next year I would like to have a descreet trough at the top of the pergola with something that would hang downward in it...can you get something like a trailing Fuchsia or could I utilise a clematis ...any other ideas welcome..something that flowers well.
Have a great day everyone and Good Luck to England in the World Cup....C

Yes, @Upsy Daisy Sad that a party turned into murder! I don't really know where Romford is. Need to google a bit!

Imagine how the parents felt. The whole thing is senseless and stupid and sadness!

No I don't know it very well either @alp.

My Grandparents use to live there (before my time) , but my Uncle stayed in the area after they moved....so we did family visits there.

Seems a nice place......no place is immune to crime though :(

Think we're going to the parks after this. Hopefully, I can see a Manchurian or North Carolina duck in one of them. I miss those spotty ducklings ..

Have a great day at the park @alp.
I'm searching for some Solar Garden Lighting they might be better than the usual GC stakes ..brighter and much cheaper...

Funny that Romford used to be a nice place. My late mother in law would even go there to do her shopping.

Would love to live in North Romford where the Havering Park is .. all wooded. When we drove by to get the horse manure, we saw a pheasant roaming nearby. Don't you just love waking up to the aroma of pine .. fresh air and not exhaust fumes or noise!

No worries @Perki ..its only a small pond and I have a small space at the side if the moulding when I'm going to run the plumbing and electrics so a fern would camouflage the tubing nicely....as well as providing a different type of foliage..thanks again for taking the time out to offer some inspiration..appreciated.

100% for effort, @Perki ! I'm thinking of going to the Harlow Carr during my holiday to Cumbria and then one free night in Sheffield again!:sleep::sleep: Will end up spending all my money on petrol.

Did my usual round of begging for greenhouse mesh, having seen friend's all covered with them. As usual, his stuff is free! An aero engineer told me that his dad had 3/4 acres of green house and would paint the ceiling with lime wash? Does anyone know anything about this? Do I paint it inside or out and are there any difference in different brands or makes please. Any advice appreciated. Thank you in advance. My lean to is boiling and the tiles absorb heat during the day and release it during the night. All plants screaming for water.
