Morning all, thanks @alp and @BigC .

We weren't given a choice around here, had to go on meters.

Now that's a sensible water company. My neighbour had at least 7 people in the house and a plunging inflatable pool in the summer for kids and their friends. Imagine how much it costs to run this household!

This morning, got up 10 to 7 and did an hour of watering. Now down to the last two watering cans. Thankfully, the sky is overcast for the time being, which brings a bit of relief.

I know ...some get away with it.
My Dad is under a different area (albeit he lives nearby) and he isn't metered, which is lucky for him as he has two very large ponds that he tops up regularly. He also uses the hose to water most days too.........no I'm not the jealous kind!!:hilarious:.....much!

Thanks @alp for telling me what they are called, we've had them ages....I just plant things and forget what they are. Do they set seed?.....if so I'll be able to send you some......I'll see what my trusted friend Google says:LOL:

Please do. I think they have seedlets along the stems. Good news for you and @Logan as there will be rain your way. I'm not holding out much hope.

I'd love to have some of those yellow blobs and I don't mind him either - at least, he doesn't have facial hair or beer belly!

@Zenj Don't quite know which one excites me more, the rain or the flowers!

Yes, you do have some wonderfully strange foxgloves! How amazing! Not only one, but two. I think you should harvest the seeds to see what comes out of them! Very beautiful and unique! I have never seen one like this, not to say TWO!

The first one reminds me of a nomocharis!

Morning all it raining here, I wish I could pass it on thing to do. Not on a water metre here, the water for the year just over £400 per year, I not sure if it would be cheaper on a metre ? Haven't got the biggest garden but do use tap water when I need it or to lazy to go to the bin, I only got one bin for water it holds about 80 - 90 litre only empty it once or twice a year normally.

Some very interesting foxgloves Zenji :)

Meconips opened yesterday but its purple :( supposed to be blue  can't help but thinking about composting it

Perki sometimes they start purplish and turn blue as the flowers age is your soil acid this apparently helps with the blue colouring don’t dump it just yet

Soil PH is neutral but do have plenty of rhododendrons in neighbours gardens. I'll keep a eye on it and wait and see, just disappointing that all. I'll take a picture later

It was so bright that it was blinding! Now, I sound like a broken record, stuck on the same lyric! And the same line is Not a drizzle and me plants are sizzled!

@Perki I wanted to report you to the SPP (Society for the protection of Plants!)! How can you even think of that? I don't even have a BUD and therefore in no position to choose any colour. Went to diy store and couldn't help myself and have come home with another frazzled, shrivelled salvia amistad and persuade a lady to buy the only other one £2! I then said to myself - stop indulging yourself. After that I couldn't part with £3.15 for two steel wool and asked son to swap 2 scourers. The lady at the till was very nice and was willing to let me pay for it. We couldn't find the price tag and got the shock when she said £2! £2 for 2 scourers:eek::cry:! We left it! Now I have one more amstad and no scourers!

Hopefully, it will change colour or add something to the soil to make it change colour!

Mmmm I've had my first attempt at hand pollinating some Lilly's.

Followed all the institutions about removing some of their delicate bits ( ouch!:doctor:). Now to wait and see.....if it proves successful then they will be yours @alp:).
But prepare yourself for failure.... anything else will be a bonus (y)

Still dry and very hot......own up now, who's nabbed my drizzle:(
