@BigC The first pic is a Pachysandra used mainly for ground cover in shaded areas.

Blue flower a Campanula maybe portenschlagiana but unsure exact variety

Pink one looks like a bedding verbena judging the seed heads / leaves

Dunno abut the tree over pond, probably a Juniper of some find.

daisy looks like a margarita but I call most white daisy margarita

Last pic not the clearest but looks like Alp Cornus controversa

I took some pictures the other day of the lupins progress to show BigC how much progress a lupin can make in a short amount of time but Storm Hector the B****** flattened it . But for a few missing / bent flower heads / leaning plant most of come through OK.

@Perki Those lupins are beautiful. Shame the storm had other idea! I think I remember that episode about clematis by this man called Richard. I'd love to have Clematis Monty and @johnny canoe 's pink macropelata. The latter is so pretty. I think I saw my first Diana today! Can't wait to see my echinacea. They are showing buds. Things seem to go so slowly.

@Logan I will do that - the incessant rains have left several bald patches and the ants haven't helped.

Perki Those roses are very pretty. I think I should forget about irises and plant some more roses.

Them roses come at a cost ££££ all of the them are David Austin Bush roses but for the light pink / white which is a climber. £22 now DA roses  they are long livid so in my opinion worth the extra layout.

Ooops! i must go to that nursery to pick up some then. They are reduced to £9.99 and there are about 15 of them there. I went there and saw Blueberry Sunshine Blue reduced to £7.99 and I held out and then got one for £3.99. Somewhere else the Pink Lady Blueberries were also reduced, but I think I will try the taste of the ones I have now just in case I don't like it.

Lovely roses, @Perki ! I actually like the pink one! Very well formed and pretty colour. Been watering for half an hour and it has been a bit warm and humid already!

Yes the tree over the pond is Juniperus Sabina tamariscifolia
The spanish juniper. Is a old favourite. The horizontal branches bear feathery foliage which is greyish green when young. When mature it's about 10 ft across.

Got it in my tree and shrub expert book.:)

Sadly, there is no tea in the teacups - all for show!

Purple rose floribunda - my favorite! I took the cuttings and now it's flourishing and the scent is lovely.

Here is the rest:

The rose garden with pillar showcasing fragrant lovely roses. Late in the year, they will play host to clematises. What a brilliant idea!
