Had my first glass of celery juice. So strange very salty! Not exactly pleasant, but I had a go. Should have split the celery into 2 servings, but the trouble of washing the juicer just puts me off! Come in to google how to cross pollinate peonies.

Oooooops! Seems to me I have missed the boat!:cry::cry:

Could you do a large batch and store it or freeze it.
Do you get gout?:)
Can you just eat the celery?:)
I don't like it, celeriac is the same family, do you like it?. I can just about tolerate the taste, i mash it up with my potatoes. I've cut down on those. I eat some sweet potato, but i don't like that much, so it gets mashed with the other. Have chilli and garlic with it, that takes the taste away. Can't taste anything after eating them.:):ROFLMAO::D

Well you now the feeling when you stumble across the landing to the loo with one eye open and the other eye tight shut...that's me.....Just drew the curtains and the shaft of sunshine nearly blinded me its gonna be a hot one..hopefully not as sticky as yesterday...I've a chicken to put out, a blackboard to paint, Cucumbers to plant out, Peppers to transplant, Grass to mow and wine to drink...not necessarily in that order

Love raw celery BTW....o_O

Ah! naughty man! Stop rubbing it in. One of the butts leaked AGAIN! The driver delivered it said I could refuse delivery. What a nice human being! After a long time of use, I found out that there was a dent in the butt and a terrible scratch and there was a hole and was covered with melted plastic. Son has always been very meticulous and mended it. But after a year and a bit, it leaked again. What is the point of buying water butts if they leak?

I'm dying for rain although I still have several containers lying around. They are not going to last long. I am sweating like a pig, sorry pig! Had to come in as the patio expanded and wouldn't shut. Had to contact the company again. What a nightmare. Remember, folks, if you buy a uPVC door, ask for aluminium cladded white uPVC or when the mercury hits 22, you're kaput like me!:eek:

Just helped a frog onto my lily pond i.e. 50L plastic with a broken handle. Was cleaning the pots and felt something wet in my leg. Looked, saw no water on my trousers and was amazed and waited and looked, no water again, so I shook my trousers and out came a b***** slug! Sorry, I hate the stuff.

@Upsy Daisy I am sending the link to my brother as he and his wife are battling cancers now. I hope they don't have restaurant meals every day. That's what people in Hong Kong do - have restaurant meals every day. When I was there, we went every weekend en famille! Thank you for the link. I probably should have frozen it. It was too much, fresh and plump just like the celery in Upsy's link!

Morning all, you've had a long day yesterday @BigC, looks like your busy today as well.

@alp how do you know when your cross pollinating you don't already have the plant or it already exist ? I am to impatient for results, to impatient to grow alliums from seed as well.

The slugs are a bit funny with the alliums, they seem to attack certain ones. I got White Giant and Giganteum planted next to each other, WG been shredded but GiG not really been touched at all, they don't eat globemaster either.

Got some pot to make up for someone today and a potter round the garden in order for today, must mow the lawn.

@Perki Slugs go for everything, hellebores, snowdrops, you name it, they love it. Very sensational when I see some BIG ones! Fear and HATRED brew in the cauldron at the same time! The intent to kill is indescribable! It's like watching Fatal Vows and I would go Phoar! What a nasty piece of work! The same sentiment.

Yes, I have some alstroemerias. One was smothered by aphids and the others were spared although they were next to each other.

I have the peony, but didn't google the method of hand pollinating and as these were bought last September and were in pots, they have only one or 2 flowers. My Bowl of Beauty might not even make it. I bought 4 and one died. I had to send a consumer complaint letter to get the refund for one. I told them very early on that it looked dead. They told me to persevere. The tuber is still in the pot. But not an eye or shoot.

My first Mr G F Hemerik.
