I will try my best. I need to take cuttings myself. I had two and now I have one!
No problem let me know as and when..Hopefully this one flourishes and I'm not left with a hole...The reason I thought it was Amistad to begin with is that he had Hot Lips too...which I dont much go for.

Thanks @Logan..they tasted amazing too...

Great plants/flowers as always @alp....I simply can't wait to get some colour into my borders, I'm so impatient...All my seeds have germinated barr Aquelegia...so I should have atleast some perennial plants to come back next season if the bloomin ss leave them alone..
Speaking of SS the Ash and slug pellet barrage seems to have stemmed the onslaught for the moment...even the Rhubarb is looking better already...I will keep this up I think lots and lots of SS casualties strew across the battlefields...Good ole Grandad....:)

Thanks, BigC! I actually listened to your grandad and dust all the trays bottom with ash and cinders and also put some inside the tray. I am sure they will latch onto the pot from the walls. These SS are very resourceful. But I am fed up of killing them every day. My Salvai Jeans Jewels were ravaged by SS even though I had pellets. I have now taken one back into the lean to. The estate agents said, "Even more plants !" Supposed to be air purifying. Totally hopeless!

Please keep me informed of your own trials with this, obviously it wont be a one treatment fix and you will need to re dust with the ash and cinders periodically especially after rain..but please do keep me informed if it helps to whatever degree...

@BigC don't give up on the aquilegia seeds, they might germinate in the spring. Or if you can put them in the fridge for a few weeks, they'll think that they've been through the winter.:)

Well it looks like I've made a terrible blunder..it turned out that the Salvia is not Amistad like I thought but rather Salvia nemorosa Caradonna which is probably the wrong thing altogether...anyhow I didn't have the heart not to go into the local fruit and veg/garden shop and not buy anything so I just made the purchase and left kicking myself.
Its still a nice plant so I have just dug it in and watered it and we'll see how we get along.
I cut two dozen strawberries from the greenhouse hanging baskets and we had them for afters at dinnertime with some ice-cream....I did see a lovely Weigela this morning alexandria...see pics...but hadn't enough change in my pocket at the time...I may go back at some stage lol

Buying a Salvia nemorosa caradonna is no mistake, they are a wonderful plant and reliable unless its planted in very heavy soil / clay / water logged area, Very hardy - slug resistant and keep dead heading it. It probably the best hardy salvia in my opinion. If you have been watching Chelsea flower show they are literally everywhere, designers love them.

Glad that the Welcome to Yorkshire Garden won gold. Amazing that Chris Beardshaw won the Best garden .. He's a fabulous man, but that garden is a bit too green for me. I had headache when the woman extolled Monet's painting - a sea of non-descript colours. And her garden won gold. Did my head in!

Perki is right. Salvia n caradonnas are everywhere! But they don't do much for me. This year is so strange .. a lot of irises, by the water as well?! A lot of lupins.. They do work in the Welcome to Yorkshire garden. Jo Thompson's structure doesn't do anything for me either. Geums are another funny. I don't like them much but bought 2 because of the hype! More fool me!

Wow! Those tulips are unreal! So beautiful. My daffs died long time ago. Amazing how different time scales we have. I have a blue, white and a creamy camassia. Shame I couldn't plant them into ground. So they are flowering here and there. Very nice show, Perki! The tulips are out of these world.
