Good morning to all. Glad that you didn't feel it, @CanadianLori . It's no laughing matter. I was squatting by the wide of a well when a minor occurred and I could have fallen into the watery hole:eek:!

I will be potting up my romaine lettuce seedlings today. There are still a couple of issues with the lighting (purely ornamental) in my two smaller greenhouses which I need to address but I am procrastinating. They are unheated and it is still bitter cold out there. We are expecting the cold snap to stay with us for the rest of the week. I'll look on the bright side. It's already Tuesday.. :)

Lori: Have you done this before? You're brave! All I remember was that my seedlings fell sideway and died like a damp squid! Hope you have a bit of cinnamon handy and sprinkle it on them as soon as you see a straggly one.

How do you manage to make those petals in the tulip stand up, @Upsy Daisy ? They are really fantastic! Amazing that you can tell what they are straightaway! Pansies are very life like! Well done, Upsy!
Actually it is a rose bud @alp:shame:, but I am going to make some tulips, post a pic when I do.(y)

But it's as pretty as a tulip, @Upsy Daisy . Is there no end to your talents? I couldn't work out where you have to reduce stitches. Very thick I am!

What a terrible night. The storm was literally throwing sleet balls - bang, bang, bang, bang. Something seemed to be moving in the night, grating something. For all my life in the UK, I have never experienced anything like it.

Hope all your houses are safe and sound after such a terrible ordeal. Normally, winds really don't travel this far. You have to drag me out of the house before 3pm:eek: when the winds were forecast to subside, according to the weather man, Tomasz Schafernaker

This has been a terrible morning as well. I thought someone has stolen what little money I had. I kept sending money to a bank account which never registered anything. In the end, they showed up. This was after 45 minutes of frantic calls to the bank:eek:.

Yes it's frightening with all the noises at night.
We're ok thanks. Barley didn't like the bushes blowing about when i took him out. When it's dark he doesn't like men wearing florescent jackets.
I'm glad that you sorted your bank out.:)
It's very worrying and panicking.

Perhaps you could give him a pair of earmuffs for presents.. I thought my windows might break. Fancying people like @Zenj living in the northeast or sheal ... it's not funny unless they are in a microclime, warmly and well sheltered.

I'm glad too, especially when suddenly when I searched 2018 and all I could see was the word morgue in the search box, which wasn't typed in by me, and all the searched resulted yield morgue and some other crazy folder. I opened a morgue folder and all I could see was number next to docs.. like 11, 12, 13, 14. I wonder if it was an Alien alluded to by Theresa May!
