Good morning and might go back to bed soon. I woke up at 1.20, thinking that it was 4.05:eek:

Started doing the laundry. It's so mild in the lean to and now with the tumble drying onto its 2nd round. It must be absolutely lovely in there.

Going to sort out the soil for the Nordmann Fir and other plants that I bought yesterday and pop some acer palmatum in the fridge for stratification. Saw tons of hellebore babies yesterday. Brought a smile to my face!

It's already quite big. Hehe! Just love one and have been thinking of buying one for a long time. Don't worry, will move to Ireland, Scotland to plant it. Hahaha!

Had to get up as breakfast time. All the exercises hurt my legs and turmeric on roasted potatoes seems to work much better.

It is still dark and I know it is still bitter cold, not as cold as @johnny canoe 's city but still nasty. We don't expect the temperatures to climb up to day time highs of freezing until maybe a week or so. Typical but tolerable. I have cousins out in Edmonton who too will be happy to greet a chinook. Who was it that called it global warming because they didn't know what a chinook was? ... hmmm, one of the big names... maybe Leonardo DiCaprio after he jetted in to tell us about air pollution..

I have 3 1/2 hours of my beloved soap running on CBC this morning. Our broadcaster runs last week's episodes back to back and this is when I prefer to watch my Corrie. I get so much done in the kitchen whilst listening to/watching it. I never actually sit through the entire airing and I enjoy getting lots done. :)

I was watching Pride and Prejudice (one with Colin Firth)and thoroughly enjoyed it. I stopped before the youngest daughter eloped as after that, everything became cringy and boring. The dialogues delicious and acting divine .. Such fanciful escapism .. married into wealth and land and handsome man. Glad that Jane Austen had a bit of mental escapism, sad that she never got married.

Yes, me, too. I love the confrontation between Elizabeth and Lady ?? The dialogues are world class and acting superb. Jennifer Erle must be very pretty in real life as the screen tends to make one's face bigger. Such a good actress!

It's ok people having fireworks for the new year. But do they have to let them off at 8.30pm, why not at the right time.
