I have draped various sheets on top of some. I was out for 4 hours and my toes were frozen. Had to come in to change shoes.

Son turned on the propagator last night. I'm dreading it. It will be on every night now.. Oh, dear! (as in expensive:cry:!)

The candle is still burning and there is a gentle heat coming from the terracotta pots. I've just changed the hot water bottle and left it in the lean to. But as it is raining, it must be warmer than the night before. Might go out to hit the shops today.

Good morning, zenji. Must be bitterly cold your way. I am hoping for 13c tomorrow. Yesterday, my toes were frozen when I was out for 2 hours. One thing kept me happy was that I did see a lot of new flowering hellebore buds. Of course, I could do with more, more and more!

I saw my very first snowdrop. But it's a very plain and boring one. I'm going to scale them the end of May.. if I have 2 of the same kind..

Logan: are you sowing anything now? Whenever you're sowing or buying something, please let me know. Or indeed anybody else! Thank you in advance.

Afternoon.....no I haven't just got up:D:ROFLMAO::D.

One son has gone home :cry:and the other one has now decided to go back tomorrow:D.

Have ventured out to check out the coldframes and greenhouse and although none are heated all the plants , cuttings and seedlings are looking snug in their fleece and bubble wrapped homes.....phew!!(y)

Off to attack a small ( ish) pile of ironing now;)

Been a bit busy. We are experiencing sub freezing temps. My Mustang broke down day before yesterday and it took a day for the CAA to tow it to the repair place. Still haven't heard the diagnosis. .. preparing myself for a shock when they give me the price to fix.

I haven't sown anything in a couple of days however have plans to get started on my hot peppers over the weekend. And the good news is that I have a large bag of cornmeal here which is not enriched so I can coat my soil blocks as I go along. :)

Haha! That's so well captured.:D The seed is so big :eek:that it might choke the lovely bird. Birds on this thread just really tickle me pink.

Late mother in law said in front of my boy that my son had competition when I was bird watching through a pair of binoculars. Just so nice to be by the seaside and IN the countryside, so many more birds..

When we were in Wisley RHS garden having a sit down, I tried to capture one such beauty. Before I could focus, a couple walked right into them and of course unceremoniously sent them fleeing:cautious::eek:, so I said fuming, "Thank you very much!" Everybody else giggled..

@Upsy Daisy I am glad that I am done with ironing. If my son wants anything ironed, it's his department ..

Lori: I think I will seed some acer palmatum seeds and some meconopsis. I am 100% some rogue has eaten my meconopsis. I am feeling totally beaten. More than 10 attempts at this. Next time, I will buy a flowering one.. I am totally fed up with this development. I had 3 goings, and now can't even see the roots or any trace..

The monocharis place has not replied to my email. I will see if I am too late. I have the feeling that if I buy it now, I will have another pot to move with.

@Upsy Daisy So glad that your hubby looks after cooking.. Very rare to find a man like that. When I read in the paper that a woman had 9 or 10 sons, I nearly fainted. The ONLY woman in the house .. How lonely is that!?

Don't mind ironing at all @alp......it's my chill out task:LOL:
I take myself off up to the gallery , put on Classic FM, lower the ironing board so that I can sit on one of the sofas.....and I'm well away:D:ROFLMAO:
All our 'boy's ' have live away from home for 10, 12 and 15 years, so can certainly care for themselves very well indeed ....but I gladly want to do their bits of ironing whenever they visit us....I like being able to do mumsy little jobs ......occasionally:D:ROFLMAO:(y)
