Don't mind ironing at all @alp......it's my chill out task:LOL:
I take myself off up to the gallery , put on Classic FM, lower the ironing board so that I can sit on one of the sofas.....and I'm well away:D:ROFLMAO:
All our 'boy's ' have live away from home for 10, 12 and 15 years, so can certainly care for themselves very well indeed ....but I gladly want to do their bits of ironing whenever they visit us....I like being able to do mumsy little jobs ......occasionally:D:ROFLMAO:(y)

You want to pamper them when they are home! I know the feeling. :D

I can't wait for the rain to stop as the garden is now very slippery. A lot of tidying up to do.

I will go out today to feast my eyes on things on sale. But I don't really want to buy anything. But you just watch, I will come home with more house plants. Will have a meal out, to have roast duck, king prawn wrapped in wafer, seafood noodles.. and probably go and buy some maltose. Will have to squeeze in everything today as son is going out tomorrow and already I have jitters. Very happy as I might have the picotee flowering this year. But better not counting the chicks before ..

Good day
Been doing the job of cleaning lady and laundress. Now I'm playing with soil.

Just started these two trays of hot chili peppers
20171230_124914.jpg

Made up a third onethat is all whit nicotiana that is touted to be "extremely fragrant "

The little dollar store green baskets each hold 4 soil blocks. I found using these, there is less chance of the blocks being damaged.

My caranations aren't in any hurry to grow into proper seedlings yet, however the grass which is an accident that happened, is really doing well... doh!

I moved my romaine lettuce down to the cellar and under an led.

@Upsy Daisy you would love my iron system. I have a 7 liter I700 Reliable boiler iron that makes life pretty easy. I use it for both business and personal and I already liked iroini g even before getting it. Relaxing. :)

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday :)

Lori: How's your car? Mustang is a handsome beast! Love your propagator. Very tidy. Hope you have sterlised your compost. I need to do so myself tonight. Had a meal which cost us £33.20 and they asked for discretionary tip £4.70.. Won't go there again.

Have been out most day and bought a Nordmann fir for £8.50, another big Areca palm for £6. Queen Charlotte anemone for £2 and a Whirlwind for £3.45. Bought a skimmia for £1.50 and of course now there is a fragrant one. But it's quite expensive even reduced £4.50. Really want to buy one.

It's so nice to have warmer weather. Such a lovely day, but the winds have been rough. Had to physically hold onto to the wooden garage door.

@Zenji Think Dylan is going to dump quite a bit of rain your way, not poetry.

@CanadianLori carnation is actually quite hardy, well not for Canadian weather, but here, even with the snow, the raised walls are warmed by the sun and they are still going even after all the snow. Think you should try our beloved hellebores which flower in winter.

Apparently, it's very cold near Niagara Fall

Don't go chasing waterfalls! Niagara falls FREEZES as wind chill drops as low as -89 DEGREES and 220MILLION prepare for a VERY chilly New Year's Eve

@alp I am about 1 hour from Niagara Falls. It is quite spectacular any time of the year. My mustang will hopefully be ready Tuesday night and for a mere $1,200. I can pick it up...

Was out knocking the snow off the solar panels and getting a few breathes of fresh air.

You're so lucky. An hour's drive is nothing. You can almost visit @johnny canoe Hahaha! Or he you! I nearly fell asleep until I cracked this silly joke.

@CanadianLori your propergaters look great. I won't do mine until February, the light levels will be better then. Also ordered 4 of the hottest chillies, chilli plants to come in march. Then i will collect my own seed from them. I cut the old leaves off some of the helebores. It was very windy, the leaves that i cut off kept blowing away.
