Happy hedge cutting

Got my net curtains back up. Going to replace them, not as white as they used to be. Doing all these things now because not a lot going on in the garden. Still got to plant the tulips, but waiting for the frost to get the Cosmos so i can put them in their place. I did plant some rhubarb yesterday, and dug up some of the grass and through it at the back of some Pyracantha.

Finished hedge cutting plus took down a 20' sycamore with bow saw. Bit dicey at first at the top, took a bit of a risk but now down to 3' stump some 2' wide. Will cut to soil level then treat with stump killer. Hugely satisfying

Came back from shopping. Son drove the car toward the east, Basildon way, so it's much more civilised and rural. Homebase is now called Bunnings and it was very busy. Very nice to go that way, but things were pricy .. I belong to the slummy end of the town. LOL!

Off later to celebrate the death of Guido Fawkes. What does that say about us these days? However, a blazing fire, fireworks, plenty of food and good company so that's the main thing, right?

I wonder if anyone knows where I can buy Katy apple tree or WORCESTER PERMAIN APPLE TREE. We ear apples nearly every day. I was disappointed with My Discovery. Now I have a Lord Lambourne apple tree. I really would like to have a Pink Lady tree, but people say Pink Lady can only be sold by Australia APAL. Crispp Pink is the nearest next best. I wonder anybody know where I can buy any one of them and a compact apricot tree as well please?!
