Your lavender looks beautiful and very healthy, Melissa Smith!:)

I overwatered one of my lavender plants around a month ago. Growing them indoors is not easy.

I love lavender and plan to grow several plants in potrs :) I love the way they smell and totally love the color purple, so I will definitely get some plants in my kitchen and grow a bunch in my garden.

crossed my mind a few times to grow some, but have not yet. I do order from Oregon Culinary Lavender for my Lavender syrup that I use in my Lemon aid. (have a couple bags of the stuff presently) have seen recipes for using lavender---simple enough. I also make a cocktail with my Lavender syrup, called "Dragon's breath" It has vodka, sake, lemon juice, raspberries and the syrup, yummy. Recall when visiting the coast line in north Washington State seeing beautiful fields of it. A near - by craft person makes nice lotion and soap from it.

This is my favorite plant . I just moved so I started out with 2 new plants and one is already producing flowers :) They are recommended to attract bees so I don't harvest too many flowers for cooking and sachets. I wish I could grow enough to make my own essential oil because I use it every day!
I too love lavender! I used to make cute little teddy bears stuffed with lavender so when you squeezed them they smelled really good!

I love the smell and look of lavender! I used to make cute little teddy bears stuffed with dried lavender for gifts. I also like to put it in sachets in my dresser.

At my Airbnb in NC on the side prior owner planted about 12 Lavender shrubs, they appear to be doing well. Last time I was there in July, realized they would need pruning, and have since googled for information. So hopefully next visit it will be the time to prune them back. The neighbor that lives next door helps herself to little bundles to have her house smell good.

These were three small lavender plants I bought early in the year. They're in a plastic tub which is sitting in a larger ceramic pot on our front door step. (It's screwed into it so it can't be knocked over or "walk.")
I ring the changes in this pot. Next in line will be probably be some begonias, which are, "waiting in another plastic tub."

That small patch of concrete in our drive is the only evidence of the installation of the new 25mm water main from the meter in the pathway beyond our curtilage wall and the stopcock behind the bottom drawer of the unit in the corner of our kitchen.,

I like all the oily herbs like rosemary, sage, marjoram, thyme and lavender. They tolerate and even prefer the dry, hot weather we often get in Spring and Summer. Their bright small flowers attract bees and other pollenators. We have some dotted around near fruit trees and outside the greenhouses where we grow tomatoes. Somehow we bought 24 lavender mini plug plants last Spring which are now small plants in 4 in pots. The plan is to introduce them to our allotment veg patch without them being swamped by long grass.
