No, it's just a modern art design.
St. Petersburg is a very beautiful city. A wonderful combination of palace architecture and parks.

Under the cloudy warm skies of early morning during our rainy season, the plants seem to be happy to take a break from the day after day of the dry season sun.

Dichondra as ground cover. It can be mowed, but i like it this way

Also, the Jatropha integerrima is looking content

The Red Shrimp plant (Justicia brandegeana) is a favorite nectar source for the hummingbirds year around

You should be happy about it @MaryMary. It is my only Cubana and when i look at it it makes me think of Ry Cooder and the Buena Vista Social Club. The Cubans in Cuba have emotional ties to their gardens.

You should be happy about the second flower on your rescue Venus Fly Trap too.

So uhhh, what did you use to paint the floors? I'm looking to paint my concrete patio.
Hehe Nice car too btw.

Thanks. I used epoxy-coat. It's all about the prep with floor "paints" (actually a two part epoxy). Spend extra time on prep and follow directions and it will work great. I have no peeling or chipping at all and it gets chemicals on it regularly. Great stuff.

my potted patio plants tend to be a single variety per pot-and then grouped.

this is a "new" bed I planted this spring where I had to remove a maple.

a mix of daylily and hydrangea, nowhere near mature, but still managed to squeeze out some bloom time.

Do you remember where you got the epoxy? I have checked Lowes and Home Depot and can't find the 2 part.
