Grown in a pot against the house where it is a few degrees warmer. That way if it does get really cold it can be moved undercover.
Cost me £1.50 a couple of years ago in the bargain bin at a local GC - in the houseplant section!!!

like the salvia longk I've seen seen a few flowers braking out in the last few days today I see crocus flowers opening on a lawn plus winter aconites and snowdrops and theses .......... to add a few
