I suffered from the rule of do not let others borrow your stuff today. I brought my trailer and got it loaded with 60 bags of cow compost and was hauling it home when I noticed the smoking on the drivers side trailer wheel. A big truck honked as it passed, in a friendly heads up warning.

My buddy shawn likes to back a trailer up harshly and shake stuff out. Or tie a load and snatch the trailer out from under. Or other techniques I do not appreciate. 3 brakelights later..I will just haul it for you instead of loaning you my stuff.

Aaaanyway, the bent fender cowling cut the hell out of the tire. Literally the first real load since I saw the tires had dry rotted over the 15 years prior and had all new tires installed.. It got me home, but I fixed it on the side of the road with a bent piece of handle in a caulk gun.

Thanks Shawn. I bet you would not appreciate the rain grooves on a F1 racecar tire or the even deeper groove on my trailer tire.

And yeah I know you spell your name Sean but no, I am not connecting anybody I know with you and Kid Rock.

I did cut and dump most of the bags in strategic places though. The trailer had 3000lbs on it and its empty now.

Sowed Sweet Peas, Bulgarian tomatoes and Beetroot :)
I found seed mats for 12usd on amazon and bought 4. So confident am I that the heat will speed germination and make me famous, I have started nothing as yet. It is time though, is it not?

Bear in mind what David said about your last frost date, i've got a greenhouse to protect early stuff.

Our £7.50 bird feeder arrived. I filled it with a mixture of seed, mealworms and suet pellets.
What I like about it is that when I poured the food into it none came over the lips of the individual troughs and into the tray.
The top is a bit fiddly to screw back on, you have to hold it above your head to see what you are doing. The wire support is quite strong.

There's two little drain holes in the tray under each trough.

I replaced a feeder out back with a sparkly blue glass feeder. I was pleased to see the birds enjoying it. I proudly mentioned to Becky that it seemed to attract birds. She said it certainly attracts husbands!

I made a snow angel today. fell backwards, arms out, did the swish thing. Then realized, I can't get up. So I screamed for my husband, he came out, pulled me up. Then his foot prints in the process ruined the look of the angel. So no pic. Oh, well.

Best laid plans, so to speak?

Grass seed and black kow today. It is sunny and 68f. I cannot feel the air being either cool or warm so it must be a perfect day for a cow poo party!
