@Tjohn But that's a bullrush?? Is that right? I love them. I once collected one from a little pond and put it in a pot as some sort of dry flower. My then husband said, "Oh, I'm sorry. I knocked the bullrush and it split into thousands of seeds!"

Is it the same thing? I am surprised that you can eat it. What a handsome thing to have in a pond or lake!
