Hi,
Last night Gale was at her best trying to remove everything from the valley side; it was extremely windy as we went to bed and this morning Bron said the wind had been terrible throughout the night but I slept through it.
First thing this morning I checked the roof was still on the bungalow and was pleased to see our property hadn't sustained any damage but as I looked up our rear garden as usual there was tree damage; a big Willow trunk had snapped with Gale placing it very neatly across the garden causing no other damage it even missed the newly planted lavender and the newly erected fence; Gale is so kind to me.
I've just come out of the garden after giving my petrol chainsaw and electric shredder a workout; the brash is now shredded and deposited as mulch the trunk and branches cut into short sections awaiting a neighbour to collect them for her woodburner; the wind is still bad but has eased quite a bit; I'm just disappointed my constant companion pet cloud Blackie didn't join in the fun because another good soaking would have really made my day; the wind had a decent chill factor as I was shredding. Just another normal Yorkshire day.
Kind regards, Colin.
