Cloudy a bit of drizzle. Did some washing, should have done it yesterday.
Well, the rain is finally ending but now it is the rivers rising to record levels and the rivers have a lot of gators and snakes especially the Brazos River. The rivers will be a major deal as far as flooding goes in western and eastern Houston. Most of the rain water drains into the rivers and the rest into Galveston Bay. So basically it will take a long time for the flood waters to drain away especially when the rivers are flooding.Just saw on the news, a couple of alligators swimming around in somebody's backyard in Texas.
Up here we will be 30C today and 32 Wednesday.
What have they learned? Apparently nothing in New Orleans. 14 of the 18 pumps don't work. Today is the 12th anniversary of Katrina.Yes, @johnny canoe I saw the gator swimming in the rainwater in the news as well. At least, in Canada, you won't have gators.. Quite frightening. @Chuck Thank heavens that the rain has eased off a bit. Katrina was still fresh in my memory. So what lesson have they learned?
We're very humid here. I have my little fan on. Been working for 3 hours non-stop. Need to tidy up everything, but the humidity didn't help.

They thought so too. On the news I heard something about them arresting the politicians responsible for the pumps maintenance a few weeks ago but as of yesterday they still weren't fixed. Apparently they haven't worked properly since day one and after all, you only need them during a big flood. This is the first big flood. 12 years. Go figure. Louisiana's government at work. That is criminal!
