some people put them in little ponds, it comes with a weight line to use for that purpose so they don't float to a corner of the pond but stay centered, or in whatever position the person wants.

Never heard of this before. Strange that they have the power to create a fountain like effect. Good choice. I am sure you can have bigger sizes in this.

actually, there is only one size sold, that I have found. If your getting one, DO NOT GET THE ONE WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL does not work. Get the simple one that you just put it in the water and it goes (with sun). Comes with 3 choices of spray attachments, I put the thinnest stream and highest on it. Mine goes from 10AM to about 4PM here, and the noise it makes is nice.
