Watched the Miniaturist last night, it's very good. Also just watched the second episode of little women, it gets better as it goes on.

Agree. Took me a long time to warm to the girl, but her innocence is captured so beautifully.

Was waiting for you to say that. I love the girl when she said she couldn't stand French as it is a silly and slippery language.. How true! I had to giggle:giggle::giggle:

I giggled again as Professor was played by the transgender Jame/Jamie in Love, lies and Records.. :giggle::giggle::giggle:! Apparently, he's very lucky. As soon as he graduated from Royal College, he landed a role in Games of throne . The last episode is a bit slow for me.

I wish someone had the guts to adapt some other novels like The Miniaturist rather than doing remakes! The first episode of the miniaturist was spellbounding!

:LOL: Yes i think that the Miniaturist was spellbinding. The prisons wasn't very good in those days.
Thought I'd have a Knapp before EastEnders at 8pm. But we didn't wake up, missed the first 10mins. Have to catch up on iPlayer tomorrow.:LOL:

As I watched it on TV which was blurry most of the times, was she given a baby by the miniaturist, signalling that she would have a baby by her husband?

No it was the baby that has just been born. She couldn't have a baby from her husband, he couldn't do anything with her, only men.

I have the feeling that they might have consummated in the prison. She bribed the guard to stay the whole night. Do you remember?

That was a shock when the baby turned out to be mixed.

Last night, I watched 48 hours in which a young girl was kidnapped by a hispanic and an Asian looking guy. They were brutal. Turned out that one was a actor in Austin Powell film.

The girl was resourceful and kept her head. The Hispanic man caved in and she was let go. It took a long time to arrest these two. When the two were arrested, kidnap and rape have passed their statutory period and they couldn't take them to court over these. In the end, they used torture. He was only sent to 15 years. But in the cell, this monster killed his cellmate .. Gut wrenching stuff. I so admired the girl for her courage. 48 hours was very good. The other episode was also brilliant. About this rich kid killing a girl whom he said he didn't care for and that it was she who assaulted him. He only did 15 years. After that, he told interviewer that he's clean and all that. No, he sold drugs in his apartment and was busted again. This time for 17 years. The poor girl's mum said that he got a longer sentence for selling drugs than killing her daughter. He definitely was the aggressor. But this sociopath/psychopath can always stare at the camera and lie without blinking his eyes.

That is brutal. It's true he would get a longer sentence for the drugs.Maybe it's because it would harm a lot more people.

Have you watched Feud: Bette and Joan?

I watched an lady in a 50 minute episode and I didn't like it. Is that the one? She neither looked like Bette nor Crawford! Now that you mentioned it, I will download it if it is on iplayer. Somehow I don't think so.

Don't think I will watch them. Too long and too petty .. I have had enough feuds of my own! :giggle::eek::LOL::ROFLMAO::cry:

Saw some of it too, it was on Channel 4 this afternoon. But I had seen it before and found this version boring too (y)
