Well, he's a man and I can't blame him. Man and car have an indescribable bond.. Some men any way.

I will google. I cried at the end of the X + Y.. Guess what, I saw a fairly good-looking man (well, I suffer from retinal detachment, so I could be quite wrong) and wondered who he was. Turned out to be Timothy Spall's son.. Amazing that Rafe Spall has got a very symmetrical face. He played a wash-out .. I say if you could download it on iplayer, you won't be disappointed. You know my recommendations are quite spot-on .. I know I'm bossy, cheeky .. and happy go lucky ..

Have you had treatment for it?

Operated on. I was booked in the same day in the afternoon. Just tell you how serious that was. The other eye laser treated round the edges as well. The optician said that as I got older, the eye-sight actually got better; well, at least for one eye!

Yes,i googled it. It usually happens to people in their 60s. Which eye was operated on and is that your best eye, or the other one?

Yes, the doctor asked me why I had such problems and said that this only happened to very old people. I can never see a continuous straight line after the operation. Count my blessing as people can lose their eyesight because of that. Probably the strong light bulbs that I used. I used 150w while NORMAL people only used 100 or even 60w.. Pure conjecture.

Yes, you were lucky. Don't know about the light bulbs. Did they say that?

No, I just guessed. I also had quite a persistent pus in my lower eyelid in my right eye.. it fared up on and off and my squeezing it didn't help.

Oh dear. Looked at Wikipedia again about your eyes. It says, young people can get myopic retina detachment. That's probably what you had or have.

I keep thinking that the pus in my eyelid might have something to do with it. One day, I was watching TV and found out the lower part of the screen was all black. After a while, I got worried and went to see the doctor. The doctor booked me to a hospital straight away and it took about an hour to arrive there. I was used as a guinea pig in the operation theatre. The woman surgeon was using my eye to show the medical student about the procedure. But the anaesthetic didn't work on me and I told her that it was painful and asked her to hurry up. After that the back of my eye has been very scarred because of the operation. I can't complain - most of us are healthy and it's only after coming here that I have come to learn of all sorts of diseases.

Have to wait for my son to come home. I might go to bed now. He said he would be come past midnight..

Morning all @alp I'm so sorry for you.
It must have been very frightening and painful.
I've only read it, but they say that the op doesn't always work.
