So, I am happy that I at least get the chance to say to Meadowlark that I have nothing but respect for him and did not at all say anything that was a dig against him.

I knew that...and have always been sad you were banned. You might not be surprised to know that one of those who was after you is also after me now.

... It just seems a bit coincidental that every time its posted, someone who claims to want nothing to do with this forum and has nothing good to say about it keeps showing up after the porn is posted.

That has not escaped me either...in fact my suspicions are very high.

It sucks you have been targeted.. maybe they will push it too far and realize there are bigger fish in the sea of online tech games. Either way I think they recently realized the owner of this forum does respect the forum by placing you and Chuck as mods to help out, but smartly as any reputable business person, seen through the veil of the previous mod and sidekick gf.

Yep, I heard a lot of crickets on that one.

Unfortunately, the porn attacks did drive a lot of people away, but you know what, I'm very optimistic that this will return to its place of preeminence.

That porn was truly nasty in every aspect. But members need to understand it is going to happen from time to time on any forum. Now that there more mods on here I think the problem will be delt with much quicker next time.

Oh.. I forgot to say hey to @zigs ...glad to see you are still posting and logging in regularly long after you said your dislike for the forum.

If its an "insider" job as I have suspected and @pepper2.0 (and others) has suggested, you probably are right.

The "professional" porn posters won't waste their time here I'm betting when they see vigilant members and owners.

Some options that might help a bit. Enable CAPITCHA for registration.. Xenforo supports CAPITCHA tools like google reCAPTCHA. Ensure it is set up and active to prevent bots from registering.
Use question and answer verification, Xenforo allows custom questions during registration. Use questions that only humans can answer and are specific to this forums niche. Impliment Spam Prevention Add-ons. Xenforo has built-in spam filters, but third-party add-ons like StopForumSpam or KeyCaptcha provide extra protection. Restrict new user privileges, limit new users' ability to post links or images until they've made a few legitimate posts. Enable content moderation, require admin or moderator approval for the first few posts from new users. Ban by user agnt or email domains, many spammers use disposable email domains. Xenforo can block registration from such dmains. they can also block specific user agents associated with spam bots.

With most antivirus' as well as things like NordVPN being able to change IP's as easily as counting to three it might be something to consider having new users in a can't post until approved by a mod situation for the first 5 or 10 posts. If its an actual person posting the spam porn and not bots that would be a run around they probable wouldn't bother with.. unless they are seriously dedicated to pissing off this forum lol.
