Hiya, Larisa! How are you?
Hi, @alp! :) On Friday, things are always excellent after work! I bought some new roots of calla and tuberose, tomorrow I'll put them in pots. A few more seedlings are waiting for me to plant them in separate pots. :)

Good morning to all... Very cold and grey here in Essex

@Logan Hope you feel better and have settled into the groove of your recuperation.

@Upsy Daisy You see, you said you have retraced the steps.. Well, I can say, I keep losing my keys and son and I always have to look for the keys..

@Klona Very clear instruction.. So it 's like using bonemeal - incorporated into the soil.. Glad that we made it clear.. So once you have your tomatoes 1/3 of its size, you could start feeding.. Mine is still tiny... With the cold snap coming, they are NOT going anywhere.

@Larisa Nice to have the weekend .. I also have some new seeds ordered, Hibiscus Mutabilis and probably some daphne seeds.. My butterfly weeds have sprouted.. Very excited.. Just hope this cold snap will be out of the way soon.

@alp I do not plan on using a lot anyway, but I'm not sure of the fertilizer dose I should be using for the first time. Do I spread like 3 table spoons in that tomato pot? I'm just hoping to experiment with this without killing the plant.
Klona, I'd sprinkle 4 teaspoons in the pot, if the plant looks as if it needs more, put some more on, and water. In the UK, we use a liquid feed for them every time we water.:)

Morning alp, Logan, Larisa, Klona and Verdun ( no wandering off during your early morning walk.....keep to the path (y)).

Weather not bad down here, bit of a mixed bag but the sun is showing it's face now and then. Definitely not looking forward to this coming cold snap .... fleece is ready and waiting for all my little babies:D.

alp ....you work too hard, try and take things easy today!
Logan , hope all is going well for you and that your following Drs orders.

No real plans here yet , still aiming to get round to potting on some Cosmos at some point in the day also have weekly shop to do:( so hate shopping, could do it online but would probably moan that the wrong things had been sent.

Have a lovely Saturday.. whatever your plans maybe:D

Good morning, @Upsy Daisy Oh, yes! Thank you for reminding me of the cosmos.. I have found some pipes flute-y ones and will sow them inside the sunlounge.. Why don't you and shop and feel the stuff in your hands.. I never trust those online marlaky.. They sent me something Polish and I don't even know what it was.. Then they swapped the flavours of the drinks, forcing those unpopular ones on me.. Too lazy to return them.. I love shopping for essential stuff..

No more sieving today. Go out to get some fresh air.. now.. Hope to see you later.. Have a nice day ..

Incidentally, I have never removed those "cloches" upturn big trays from supermarket.. I've found out the cosmos growing very happily underneath the clear plastic tub.. so I will leave them there after the cold snap...

Good idea, best not to disturb them before the cold hits.

No I do trust them either ,much prefer to choose , see, smell and feel the food we are going to consume:

Glad to hear that your taking a break from all that sieving today ,rest those arms!

Enjoy you day , catch up later.

@alp Can't you move your plants indoors or are they not potted? :(
You could use a grow light. If we had cold snaps here, I would take it as far as covering the entire plant in a tent and use heat lamps. ;)

@Logan Do I fertilize it around this time of year? How often do I use this?

@Klona According to the video, once you've got fruit, he recommends feeding once a week.. and compost kept moist at all times.

@Upsy Daisy You sound as if Logan's going to soil her pants... Haha! Poor Logan... Daisy is really taking the mickey..

No sieving today, but the collapsing rose arch is no more.. All the armandii flowers grew towards the sun and whole arch bowed until just now.. Those armandii flowers were my best show for 15 years, Whoosh ... no more .. Only 4 stems left.. Took a lot of cuttings and discovered my drought resistant cistus hows up a lot of brown leaves due to water shortage.. Even the drizzle stopped after 3 minutes.. Woe is me ... No rain..

Osteospermum - one of the most drought resistant plants in the garden.. They even survived when I dumped them in the hottest and driest part of the garden..

The colours aren't very good, because of too much sun.

Are you serious, Logan? They self seed everywhere, anywhere. I had so many that I had to give them away.. Those two were actually from a cluster of 6, probably from ONE seed head. I used to sell them 50p per seed head in boot sale. Haven't been to one for a long time.. £12 for entry.. I might as well sell them outside my house.. LOL!
Yes, they didn't have any seeds. Try this year.
