Rain, Sunshine, Rain, Sunshine...its what its all about today...stop, start kind of a scenario....So far I have removed the old stone step slabs (got me the middle section for the Geisha/Pergola/Pond project.) looks pretty cool and adds more weight to the structure.

Old step sections removed, leveled and prepped in readiness for new York Stone slab

Good morning, all !! :)

The rain was so heavy and the humidity so high that I could not sleep. My 100L bin butt was already full!
alp, you finally got some rain! (y) :)

@Zenj, (or anyone who knows ...;).) What are the flowers in this picture? I like them very much - and I am not a fan of yellow flowers on the whole. (y) I clicked the picture to enlarge it a bit - they have variegated leaves, too? Very nice!! And your beach pictures are beautiful. (Sigh... I need a vacation.)

Hubby told me to be careful and look out for concrete balards. But i went up the road where there isn't any.;)
Please help!! I need an English to English translation! :ROFLMAO:

What is a balard? I image-searched it, and all I saw were blueprints and buildings... I can't imagine tripping over either.

@MaryMary a concrete balard is like a plastic cone that they put on the road when there's road works. But a concrete balard is always there in the middle of the pavement to stop cars driving up the path. I knew it was there, but wasn't looking where i was going.

@Logan... A-ha!! So, a bit like these, used here to keep people from running over the bushes?

A concrete balard is a concrete "parking block." (y)

Hello tbendl, sorry for the late reply. You are correct, those are hostas and begonias in my last picture. I was given a tiny Japanese bleeding heart runner from a customer I was working for this spring. Those hostas are so big they have hidden the bleeding heart but it's healthy and growing. I'll have to move it if it survives the winter.

Did a bit of bird feeding on my bike ride yesterday. The White Breasted Nuthatch

I love the way they talk.
